Maid dresses?

I wasn't sure wether to post this here or in the "looking for" section so I apologise in advance if this is in the wrong forum, but since it was about clothes I picked this one xD;

 

I'd like a couple of maid dresses but I'm struggling to find what I'm looking for. I want a maid dress which is of a more sexy style maid rather then a big fluffy Lolita style maid. I'm imagining something like the Saber maid set, or the he is my master set, but without the 20k + price tag on yahoo auctions

 

I would prefer to buy the set, but would be willing to commission it, I just don't know anyone accepting commissions right now.

 

I've been away from the dd scene for close to 2 years, so I'm still trying to learn what is available an where, but this outfit is my priority at the moment and any help in finding something along these lines would be totally appreciated.

Well, I'd consider this particular thread more a picture request, and then you can make a real "looking for" once you figure out which ones you're specifically desiring. We'll see what Averis and Littlebearries think.

 

I'll let Billy/Balldylox do the main posting of pictures, since with his Battle Maid Brigade he's basically the resident maid master. Still, I can think of a couple of things off the top of my head.

 

Dollpa Kyoto 9 had a couple of "standard item" maid sets. They haven't hit the US yet, so if you really like one of those you could coordinate with a US resident here to act as a proxy to get one. (They're listed here, under the school uniforms.)

 

Alice's Collections has some, though they're a bit more on the froofy side than the Kyoto 9 ones. Still, they're definitely affordable, so perhaps getting one of those and then altering it to be smexier would be worth considering.

 

And, while not cheap, there's a sub-section of Coolcat that does lovely custom work. That's where Balldylox's Rei's maid dress came from, and it's lovely.

Poofie is right, I'm a huge fan of maid sets for DD's. I have several different styles and a few could be considered sexy. Here is a pic of all but 2 of my maid outfits.

That one is an OLD Volks set and is really hard to find on the secondary market. But if you can nab one, it's awesome. It's only for the DDdy girls tho, the top would be loose on anything smaller.

 

Manami also has a cute one and it too is Volks.

You can still find these on YJA and sometimes ebay for under $150. It's not super sexy but it's still quite nice.

 

Now as far as custom outfits go, I can't even begin to tell you how awesome the outfit Rei has is. It was a commission from the SK Fotos website that is part of Cool Cats. I'm not sure if they have this one available anymore but they may have something similar. It looks like they have 3 styles still there:

Now these are NOT cheap by any means. Rei's outfit cost me about $200 USD. But it is totally lined and the quality and detail is top notch. I'd say it's even better than Volks stuff. Here are some shots of Rei's outfit:

I also agree that the new maid sets coming out from the Kyoto Event are awesome. I plan to go for both of those.

Those recent volks outfits are really nice and I'd be perfectly happy about having both of them. I've never brought on volks USA before, so I have no idea what it's like. Is it a battle like volks international, or is it more controlled on the USA site? After some research I know there's deputy services I could use, so volks USA is certainly an option now.

It says on the pages "We do not accept order by email direct" but there is no button to put it in your shopping cart, so I've never really tought much more of it, just assumed that I'd missed the boat xD

Yes, those two outfits are awesome, reasonablt priced and I wants them both!!!

 

The Volks USA thing will still be a click war but you can ease that pain by going thru Kerbey Lane Doll Shoppe for them and then Volks as well. If you don't win them thru KL, you will know a day or two ahead of time so you can go thru the click wars on Volks the following Saturday. Check the "Vendors" section here to see how to get in touch with Rochelle at Kerbey Lane. She goes by "Geminidoll" here on the forums.

 

Now if you aren't in the USA, you can't go thru KL. They won't ship outside the US. Same with Volks US. Only US addresses can order from them.

The only way to order from them is to email Sally at the address I listed above. You need to tell her what you want from the list of available stuff on that site I linked you to as well as what body type its for because they custom make them to fit THAT body. Sally is easy to talk to and very nice.

My Maid collection has officially begun! I won two Volks maid dresses today, the recent Alice Maid set http://page8.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/h163684998 and most of Sakuya's default dress set http://page10.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/m100425413 (it says it's missing the shoes, sock and headdress, but I can live with that and buy them elsewhere)

 

I think they were both pretty good deals and I paid less then my maximum bid on both of them so I'm happy. The Alice Maid set especially as it was less then retail value. Can't argue at that price!

 

The Alice Maid is especially for Lilly, so now I just need to bring a new girl home to wear Sakuya's dress XD

Oh yeeeah, that pink one is sweet looking! Though it's the same as the black one, the color contrast makes the black one look rather messy with the white parts.

Those new maid sets look nice... but not $170 nice. The set I bought for Rei thru them cost $180 and has WAY more details, more pieces and looks more finished in my opinion. But the pink one looks really nice. If it was like $125 or so, I could see it.

 

I'm holding out for the two maid sets from Kyoto 9 thru Kerbey Lane. I'm hoping I can nab both thru them so I won't have to bother with the click wars. But if I must brave the Volks site on Saturday, I'll do it to secure those two sets. If I get them both, I will FINALLY have enuff maid outfits to dress ALL of my girls including my new Saber. So this will give me some closure if I can aquire them both.

Now all I need to do is get the Noir set tomorrow in the click wars and I will be completely set for maid outfits for ALL my girls..... including Saber Extra. So very soon, I will have all my girls in all their outfits, looking fine and ready to battle!

 

I'm actually the other way around. I won the Noir one from WLD and I have to play click wars for the Alice one. Hopefully we both win!

I haven't tried it on my DD yet since she's 600km from here... I also own the Saber maid dress, but it's still sealed since I haven't got around to ordering the M bust yet and I'm kinda worried about staining...
