Hello ~ ❄️ I finally received my DD Snow Miku after waiting a very long month for her to arrive from Japan! I always loved this doll, ever since I saw her back in 2016. Of course, I wasn’t able to buy her back then, but she always stayed on my mind… And she’s finally here!! I’m just so happy… she really reignited a creative spark for me. And here she is! Maybe it isn’t very noticeable in this pic, but she is stained on her arm, moreover her manicure is also damaged on her left hand. One of her shoes is also a bit damaged, however I think it is easily fixable. I got her for an acceptable price for a fullset* snow Miku (100k Yen) so I was okay with those caveats. Weirdly enough, her original owner never bothered even opening the documentation she came with, nor did they even apply one of those 01 tattoos. I must say, I now, weirdly enough, doesn’t want to open it either somehow lol *This isn’t her original outfit of course. Knowing how it aged terribly, and yellows worse than an old SD sunbathing for years, as such I didn’t want it at all (except maybe if I found a reboot Miku). My original plan was to get her nude or head only and then buy one her other beautiful Snow Miku sets. But knowing how expensive these can be (the one I got [2018 Snow Miku] easily sells for 30-40k Yen), I basically jumped on the occasion and bought her! Since she is already stained due to her outfit, I made sure to protect her by buying a body suit, which I bought off Dollyteria. This is the 2nd version of the semi white bodysuit, and I must say I’m very pleased with how it blends with her body colour. Since she’s an older doll, I was expecting her to have yellowed with age. Yet she doesn’t even look yellowed to me! So that was a nice surprise. She looks kinda weird in it though?! I feel like it outlines her body anatomy weirdly. So now, time to put her in her clothes! I really like how uneven her socks are. Her inner kimono + skirt are actually amazing by themselves, even without her having her coat on. The quality of those garments is quite impressive too. Annnd Tada! Here she almost completely dressed. Her shoes are sooo cute!! I actually left her like this for a few hours, I think I loved her that way too lol. Being a “Dollface” Persian herself, my cat got way too curious by wanting to sniff that weird doll thing, however please do not worry. My cat is of the kind that never eats anything other than her food and treats. Moreover, my dolls are now in a glass cabinet she cannot reach. And here she is fully dressed in her set, alongside my off-topic MSD. I added the second picture to show better how the blue end of her otherwise white hair looks! Thank you for looking at my beautiful and precious Miku arrival ~ I’m happy to be able to share her pictures with other doll enthusiasts! Hopefully this is in the correct area to post this...? Mere hours before the new year, I took Miku to a friend's house so we could watch anime, eat fast food and then watch the ball drop on TV. I have one of the clear small dog/cat backpack that I had put Miku in so I could transport her safely. While taking her out of the cat backpack, I noticed her left leg seemed loose. When I lifted her out, her leg literally fell off. Apparently, stupid me forgot poor Miku is not a easily poseable BJD with ball joints and internal stringing, and can not sit crosslegged. Oof. I'm not terribly worried, I'm more mad at myself for breaking poor Miku! I know she's made to be able to have her parts easily replaced, but it still hurts me that I hurt my Miku. I've checked Cool Cat for hip and shoulder metal sheath sets, any idea which ones I should get for her DD III body? I also want to get the neck joint, parts that I've wanted to get anyways. I was hoping that I could get them quite a bit later in 2024, but oh well. Also, is there a tutorial or video that shows how to replace that hip, or better yet, add all of these parts to poor Miku? Welp, she was home for a year and four days before any damage occurred, I guess that's a good thing. [Eng] Ever wondered how a Miku wig would look when the hair is loose? Well here you go. The left one started as a pigtail wig (not a volks wig) and I straighten it a bit. The color is not a 100% match but close enough for me. It has some small bald spots but overall I´m very happy with the wigs [De] Habt ihr euch gewundert wie eine Miku wig offenaussehen würde? Nun so. Die linke sah am Anfang aus wie die rechte (ist aber keine offizielle Volks wig) und ich habe sie etwas geglättet. Die Farbe passt nicht 100% aber für mich reicht es. Leider hat die wig ein paar kahle Stellen aber im großen und ganzen bin ich sehr zufrieden mit der wig.

Not sure if this was already posted before, but I wanted to share my experience with both the official Volks Miku wig and Cotindoll's Onion Green Miku-styled wig. I have not styled the official Miku wig out-of-the-box, while I have used a flat iron gently on the Cotindoll wig (because it arrived totally poofy and the fringe might have warped due to the AZ heat ) These photos are from my Google Pixel 4a. None of these are post-processed. Just under my room's night lighting. So here are my two Mikus side-by-side (left is my custom SWS DDH09 Miku, right is the official Miku): From afar, the wigs look really identical. But if you look closely at the Cotindoll wig, it appears to be shinier: The official Miku wig is more tame and matte: Let's take a look at the back of these wigs. They are still very similar, but with slight differences. The Cotindoll wig: The official Miku wig seems to have been tied in some sort of a "cross", and has short strands by the bottom left and right. I'm not sure if it's just the very dry AZ weather and the way these wigs arrived, but the official Miku wig was softer to the touch. But at the same time, it had less volume than Cotindoll. Personally, I do not have a preference. When it comes to the color match, virtually I don't see a major difference. It wouldn't photograph well, but the Volks wig appears to be a little darker. Cotindoll wig with flash: Volks Miku wig with flash: Overall, I think the Cotindoll wig is an excellent brand if you want to use another wig for Miku, or a custom Miku. I'm not very confident in using the wig products yet so I'll probably leave it at that. Maybe if it is styled properly, it would appear a lot better. For some reason, the Volks wig gets frizzy easier compared to the Cotindoll wig. Plus I find it easier to handcomb the Cotindoll wig as well. Both have their pros and cons.
