vinyl Vinyl dolls+Mold and humidity problem tip

Recently I was in my room cleanup routine and decided to check on my dolls, and realized dark spots in one of their hands;

I live in a place that is commonly humid and I suffer a lot with cleaning my stuff, since I have bigger chances of having mold around my room and this takes me to  check on my plastic dolls more often. But the vinyl seems to be sensitive to must, since I give my dolls clean ups every 3 months and wash up their clothes even more frequently, and own 6 dolls of different brands from the same material; the doll that had the dark spots of mold was a Dollfie Dynamite I got only a year ago wich scared me, because of the fact I always do their cleansing every 3 months to prevent dust and dirt  to have too much contact with the vinyl since he can easily stain from it.

After checking up some info about the dye that is given to the skin shade, and having knowledge that plastic can basically soak up must, I dismantled and gave the doll an bath in warm water with a dish soap and 4 spoons of baking soda, and impressively, she didn't lost her natural skin shade and after some long time scrubbing I got rid of all mold (that was BLACK mold), and dryed her with a mid-strenght hair dryer.

And to mention it, the main reason she had these spots is because my bedroom's furnishing that has an mirror on it and is stucked in the wall revealed to be VERY musty wich quickly transferred the mold to the doll's body parts, be careful!!

I would consider getting an air dehumidifier at least. There are also some disposable dehumidifiers you can place around your room that will soak moisture until they're full. I've dealt with mold too and it's an uphill battle.

Don't worry I do have one! Sometimes some spots in my house turn out real cold during winter so we regulate how many times a day we turn the air on, that is a point that also impressed me when I saw mold, also I'm considering getting an Flex body just in case that turns out to happen again.
