Saba the vmf50 girl that yur interested in looks to be normal skin and the only one that l know of that is tan skin is the type E.

actually, my Shiho has tan skin and she is a type G iirc. i know several of the VMF50 girls are tan but it's late so i can't doublecheck which ones, but Shiho for sure is.

 

i *think* Kana is a normal skintone girl, though her skin is not very pinkish or pale, it's not a real tan either i think.... I know someone on flickr who owns her, you can view his set of her here and decide yourself:

Oh wow, I've not seen one of these like Kana before! She's really someting! Do you have anymore pics of her you can share? Which body style is she? She's got a nice skin tone..... any pics where we can see that compared to another VMF color?

well i don't own her so i can't make my own comparison pics - she's one of the two new girls that were introduced in August/September....

FWIW either the pic was mislabeled by the website or Miko is a limited edition of some kind (fair chance of this - the picture is from a display show) because that is the only place i can find her online.

 

the two girls currently commercially available that were last released are KANA and MAKO...

 

however, if you like "Miko"'s body, i would bet confidently it's a type G body which is the same as my Shiho. she wears DDY clothing and lingerie all the time.

and yeah, i recant what i said, i think that Kana is tan but you will find she is a different shade of tan to girls like Nao, Shiho, etc. it looks like she has more body blushing possibly.

Janeaway thank you, I was confused because I've seen a few pics of these girls stated to be 'normal skin' and they looked a pale tan to me (say, compared to Volks ns) so I wasn't sure if the companies 'normal skin' was a pale tan...

Yes, Kana may not be as 'tan' as some of the other girls, but I think her colour is quite natural, a lovely pale tan I guess I really want to bring her home, but HLJ will be my route- I guess I just need to recheck their site to see when she becomes available- it says October, so hopefully the wait won't be too long and that they will have a bit of stock to go around.

leitan the azone 50cm line of shoes do fit the vmf50 feet due to l have a pair of sandles and boots that fit Moka like they were made for her etc.

Yeah, everyone knows I like the curves and the boobies. I can't help it, I'm a guy. Thanks for the link, that was quite impressive! The Shiho head is slowly growing on me but I still think my fave is the head that Kymaera calls Rinrin. She's just really cute.

 

Maybe one of these days ( read that next year ) I'll actually try to see about getting one of these type dolls. I like the form and style and since they're vinyl, I'm not straying too far from the DD world.

Saba, i agree with you, her skintone is quite lovely. sounds like a good plan to me! be sure to post pics if you are able to get her home! HLJ are probably one of the best places to buy VMF50 that are not via proxy (both mine i got through SMJP, but i buy anime goods from HLJ).

since the dolls are getting more popular and more attention is being paid to detail in their production, we can hope that by next year there will be some more really lovely girls for us to fawn over.

Hee hee, that's cool. Trust me, I'm not stuck or fixated JUST on the larger breasted girls, I like the more natural and medium sized ones too. All of them have their own special charms. And yes, finding clothes for the DDdy sized girls isn't always easy but it's better than it used to be!

the company that made the wig will have been Yamato since they showcase their VMF50 girls in all their own wigs iirc. i own 2 VMF50 wigs actually, but Risa is an older release so the wig could be hard to find.

 

you may have to look for a wig that is similar and offbrand. like i've said, VMF50 usually take the size 7-8. here are some places where i buy wigs for all my dolls from (my vmf50s usually wear Monique Gold wigs which Jpopdolls sells, but all these companies wigs could potentially work if the sizing isn't off...i use some Dollmore wigs on my Shiho sometimes too)

i'll edit this post or doublepost if i can find a similar wig, but for your own information, it is very likely that IS a VMF50/Yamato wig and that you might have difficulty finding it since stuff like their wigs is limited quantity and Risa came out a while ago.

 

edit: the one idea i did have is i own this wig from Leekeworld - http://www.leekeworld.com/En/Product/p_view.asp?it_code=1789&B_catalog_num=21 - and it is heat resistant. perhaps it would be possible to use a crimping iron on it, but i don't want to experiment on my own one.

I really like the Sayo doll but these are pretty hard to come by.

VMFs have interested me for a long time. I think their waists are beautiful and I really enjoy the tan skin of them. Sadly the one I want has printed on eyes and I highly doubt they can be dremeled to use glass/acrylic eyes..or can it?

I'm just getting my feet wet in the world of dolls (coming from more of a 1/6 scale and vinyl figure collecting background). I've been adding quite a few dolls to my collection in the last few months, but I want to start getting some new outfits, wigs, shoes, etc.

 

Quick reply to Error-chan's (old) question - you can get a really similar look to that with Hime-Kazura wigs. Hime-Kazura is Mandarake's in-house wig brand and they also make pretty cool clip-on "buns". Yamato does a lot of collaborations with them for their Dollcore events and stuff. I picked up a black bob with two wave buns for my Dollcore Sayaka and its really similar to the style from that shot. The only big difference is that it doesn't have those super-long sidelocks. I'll try to put a picture up sometime once my account gets fully activated.

Dunno if you have a proxy account for Yahoo Auctions Japan, but there have been some pretty good deals on there lately. Just got a very gently used Kana for just under 30,000 JPY (retail is 43,000). Totally slept on an Eri that finished the other day though which was kind of a bummer.

 

Unless you buy through HLJ you'll probably have to use a proxy service anyway, so YJA might be a good place to hunt around. There's also a nice used Miho on Mandarake that looks pretty good and a Dollcore Sayaka (one of my favorites) up on Jungle, even though she's not cheap.
