What Anime are you watching?

All dolls agreed Maquia - When the Promised Flower Blooms was amazing. This is a movie not a series btw. Miku cried buckets of tears, so it was just as well we have a 3D printed doll sized bucket.

Watching Fate/Stay Night for the first time and I'm absolutely loving it! It's making me want some of the dolls for it...

Currently watching Chi: About the Movement of the Earth and Dungeon Meshi when I have the time. I also need to see my friend and watch My Happy Marriage 2 with her. We always have that one anime we watch together.

Now on to Girls Last Tour. Episode 1 is very sweet. That's as far as we've got.

We found a Tsukihime anime exists. It's pretty good too. Arcueid kind of overshadows Ciel, just like their DD counterparts.

We're also watching Mirai Nikki (Future Diary). It's like Steins;Gate but with much more yandere.

Mirai Nikki is our latest sensation. At last an anime we can easily binge watch. I'd love a Yuno wig if anyone ever sees one.

On the downside there's been a huge outbreak of yandere-ness amongst the dolls. Len and Kaito are now fearing for their lives...

honestly I watch anything that's currently airing mostly because it's convenient

 

Just Sat through PROJECT A-Ko (1986) for the First time since Catching about 2/3 or so worth of it on SCI-FI CHANNEL back in the late-1990's.

It was My Kind of Show!! Wonderful Soundtrack!!!!

Just Started Ranma 1/2; the Show has it's ups and downs... But the Hunnies are Positively ♥Adorable♥

I watched the first episode of Takopi's Original Sin this weekend, it certainly is ... quite heavy.

Ranma just Keeps on Getting Better!! i wish i could've gotten the Chance to have Checked this show out Sooner♥

I started watching Yaiba! The animation is amazing.

Just finished the first season of My Dress-Up Darling, and I really loved it! I usually don't really do romance anime, but the main couple are just too pure for this world! I look forward to the currently airing second season, too.

That show was a lot of fun and we need to schedule in the second season too.

We've been quiet in this thread lately as we had the epic task of watching all 17 Monogatari seasons. Well they're more like mini-stories than full seasons. Who knows how many episodes that entailed, and the story is still far from complete.

Monogatari is definitely not for everyone. There's a lot of dialogue and strangeness. Volks should really make an Ononoki DDS, since she is kind of a doll to begin with (although Tsukihi describes her as a plushie). Her outfit is amazing. Yay. Peace. Peace. Also I need a Mayoi Hachikuji MDD. I think she has the best running gag of any anime character I've ever seen, even though I'm not sure it makes a lot of sense in English.

Current lunchtime watching is Girls' Last Tour. Dinnertime watching is Psycho Pass. Late evening watching is Monster. All three shows are definitely unique. Monster is epic.

My recent watches:

I Left my A-Rank Party...: A fantasy setting, with live-stream dungeon dives.  The first half was okay, but the second half packed in too much.  Main dude is kind of boring and too perfect, and gets a harem by the end.  Watch Rune Soldier Louie instead.

I've Been Killing Slimes for 300 Years...:  Okay, these absurdly long titles have run their course.  This one is also an isekai, although that isn't too important.  Mostly, just a chill slice-of-life fantasy, that doesn't really impress, but not offensive either.  

The Unaware Atelier Master:  Hey, it's got a short title!  That's about all this show has going for it.  Some country kid is good at everything except fighting, or whatever. It's not some much that it's bad, it's boring.  Honestly, boring is worse than bad.

Witch Watch: Lots of fun.  A young witch and her guardians attend high school.  It's mostly comedic, lots of magical hi-jinks, with slice-of-life elements and a few action episodes.  

Shield Hero S4: The problem with Shield Hero is that Naofumi's character arc kinda ended with season 1.  Maybe I'll feel differently at the end of S4, but so far, no.

Reborn as a Vending Machine..: Yeah, another long titles, and an Isekai.  This time, main guy is a sentient vending machine.  He can change into other types of vending machines.  It's stupid, but also crazy fun.  

Rascal Does Not Dream of Santa Claus:  I really enjoyed Rascel Does Not Dream of Bunny Girl Senpai...  I'm not enjoying this season.  Sakura has Mai, why is he always hanging out with these other girls?  

Dan Da Dan season 2: It's more Dan Da Dan.  That punchy crab alien is back!  It has all of the craziness and action of the first season.  

My Dress-Up Darling:  Season 2 might actually be better than season 1.  Also, Marin in a suit.  I need a Marin in a suit figure to put next to my Fate/Zero Saber and non-exsistant Mordred in a suit.  

New Panty and Stocking: It's got a lot to live up to.  It's pulling it off, mostly.  The season 1 cliffhanger was resolved perfectly.  It's very raunchy, so be aware of what you're getting into.  

Nyaight of the Living Cat:  I guess it's not boring?  Well, the main characters are...  Probably should have been a movie, as the plot has worn thin after just 7 episodes.  I doubt I'll be back for a season 2.   This is the zombie parody about a virus that turns people into cats.  Every character has the personality of "I love cats."  Everyone is more concerned with not hurting the cats, it's amazing there's a cast left.

We've been watching Generic Kowloon Romance. It's kind of OK. The setting is good but the story isn't terribly exciting. It's been solid 6.5/10 so far.

We've also been watching Haite Kudasai, Takamine-san. Uh, it's about a girl who keeps changing her 🩲. I don't really know what to say about this one. Maybe if Volks make a Takane Takamine DDdy then she could come with an optional clothing pack of 🩲🩲🩲🩲🩲.

OK I can confirm this is an amazing anime and it's getting me through a very difficult week. The characters are likeable and the writers have worked their socks off thinking of plausible plot twists for a vending machine.

I just wish Volks would release Lammis with Boxxy. Well if anyone has a 3d printer and time on their hands it would be the ultimate custom anime doll project.

Oh, it truly is!  It's a fun, silly show.  All of Boxo's crazy vending machine forms are based on real vending machines.  

 

A new one: Summer Pockets.

It has shades of Clannad. It's easy viewing with some fun characters and imaginative storylines. It's definitely overlooked and underrated.

Be aware it has a fair bit of fan service.

Almost finished vending machine now. We have restarted Monster but have many dozens of episodes left.

Also Frieren for the 20th time.

KPop Demon Hunters is phenomenal too. It's not really anime but I really enjoyed the soundtrack and it has a fast paced story. It's a good one to get your anime hating friends into anime. Hook them on this then throw them Frieren (which is an oddly similar storyline).

 

First Time for me with Ranma 1/2 (Late-80's/Mid-90's Original) about 50-odd Eps. in by now.

that captures the original Anime Look in Three Dimensions best that they could Possibly Manage.

Though i'd likely not be able to Afford Her in Any Case; i would Most Certainly Make Every Possible Effort in an Attempt to Get Her...

Recently, I've been watching Frieren and DanDaDan.  I also recently finished My Happy Marriage, but now Netflix seems to think I want teen romance series.  I got enough teen romance angst in high school, thank you. 😛

Currently watching Fancy Lala and I love it 🥰! It’s so wholesome and cute. Also, Nanako and Rise from Persona 4 had to have drawn inspiration from Miho and Miki of Fancy Lala in terms of appearance 😂
