dollfie dream dynamite hybrid with obitsu / angel philia parts compatibility

Recommended Posts

Greta

hi! i tried my best finding any topics on DD or Dynamite bodies with any hybrid of angel philia or obitsu parts but i cannot find any.

I wanted to switch the thighs if possible of my Dynamite/DD (?) girl or torso and bust.

I can only find results of MDD customisation topics which is why i resorted to making my own post asking you all for help!

if the angel philia bust is too small can i cut some parts of it to fit the lower torso of a Dollfie dream?

Why i say Dynamite/DD is because i dont know yet if its DD or Dynamite! i won her body on yahoo auction and since its classified as ”junk” the only information they gave is that the body is 54cm but that is with knight boots so the height is not accurate for the actual bodies since the knight boots has heels.

heres some pictures down below incase any of you know which body this is.IMG_8404.jpeg.09d93eef7207354e9e7e455f080a4849.jpeg

thank you for stopping by!

It looks like the old (not 2.0) Dynamite body.

For the Angelphilia parts, it probably depends on which Type (C, H, I, etc.) you get, but my best guess is that this combination won’t work because AP is 48cm tall, so the shells (and bones) are shorter. Dollfies are 60cm, so the leg bones are longer.

I’m not sure about the bust and torso. Bust might work, but I suspect you’ll run into the same issue with the torso.

Head over to the Angel Philia section and ask there.  We have a lot of very smart AP people there who may not venture out here to see your question.  They do quite a bit of mods with the AP/VMF girls so maybe you can get answers there.  But I'm pretty sure you'll have to do heavy mods to make AP vinyl work with DDdy frame bits as @ragnamuffin stated above.... they're two different overall heights so the proportions will be off by 10-12 centimeters or so.

Good luck!

I gave up counting the girls I own, they keep multiplying and won't stop.

I happen to have a DDS F3 2.0 body and an Angelphilia body. The Angelphilia bust parts are too short for the DDS frame. Although you can technically put them on, there will be a very large gap between the bust and the waist where the internal frame is visible, making it completely unusable. But if you use a DDP body with Angelphilia parts, it might fit more harmoniously because their heights are similar.

thank you! ill instead either find a dealer made DDdy bust similar to the details angel philia has or ill get a medium DD bust (if they are possible to put on DDdy (?) ) And if possible DD thighs and lower torso as well, i tried searching that too but either my searching tool does not find the results i want or there arent specific posts for it :’)

Thank you! Yea im not a good craftsmanship person so ill have to ignore the angel philia bust idea  and either see if DD busts, thighs and lower torso are possible or dealer made ones for DDdy

Thank you! Ill plan for a DDP body then for angel philia parts since i feel like MDD is too short and not mature enough for the parts i want, it would look very off. For this body ill either get dealer made parts or DD parts if they are compatible

You can definitely put smaller busts on the DDdy body as seen in this post:

I'm not sure what you mean about finding thighs and lower torsos.... The inner frames of the DD and DDdy girls are exactly the same, the only changes are the bust, thigh and lower torso vinyl parts.  The arms, shins, hands and feet are all the same.  Frames do differ over time because of Volks always changing them for better posability and such so you'll have to watch out for fitments on those.  Just know that DDdy thighs won't fit properly into a regular DD sized lower torso.  Same for the reverse, DD thighs won't look right or fit well into the wider holes on the DDdy torso.

That looks like the arms & neck part is DD2, the bottom half may be DD2 as well. Those boots are from that Red Saber pre-order doll which was DD3. You can fit DD3 feet on aDD2 body. My guess is this is a 1st gen DDdy body which had the DD2 frame. The Obitsu 60cm body parts are easier to mod with the full size Dollfie Dreams due to them being 60cm as well. The angel philia is based around the Obitsu 50cm which is close to MDD size.

Angelphilia is ob48 and is closer to DDP size than MDD.
