DDIII versus DDII (updated: DDdyIII and DDdy added)

Hmm..I'm still thinking about whether getting a DDIII for my DDH-07.. or maybe just the DDII? >.< need some opinion from you guys >.

Sorry can't help about the body choice... I've just read this topic and have freaked out at the idea my Reimu body will crack !

In the meantime, if I'm really gentle on the posing of the doll, she won't have problems, will she ?

Is the aluminium completely safe for the vinyl around ? I mean it can't stain anything ?

 

Now I'm getting all anxious ...

I would assume the metal would be inert so it wouldn't stain, but if there is a chance that it did, the pieces are completely hidden.

Searched for this but with no luck - is possible to replace DD II arms with the new DD III ones?

The pegs are probably a little shorter but what about the diameter and other things?

Is the skin colour the same like before?

 

I was thinking about better posability of the DDIII arms without the need to force out the elbow.

And I can't check it just now, I'm not at home...

I didn't see if anyone asked this so I hope it hasn't been asked already.... but, can I use the DDII chest piece with the DDIII body? (I mean the internal skeleton chest piece), because I really want a peach pai, but I heard there are issues using the peach pai with the DDIII because of the lack of support.

ive used a peach pai on a dddy3. no problem at all for me.

I tried it with my DD2/DD3 arms, and it was OK

They fits and I could move them easily anyway I wouldn't recommend you to base your custom body on this assumption because I don't know if it cracks or anything after some time!

Hopefully it is the same for the normal DD3, I was considering getting some polymer clay to create a support for it if it doesn't work out, lol. xD

I also just added Peach Pai to a DDdy3 frame and it works just fine. Since the internal frame is the same between the DDdy3 and the DD3, it should work for you as well. My Saber is the DD3 body and it has those inner "flaps" that go up inside the body so they should cover any gaps you may have with the difference in length of the busts that go down the lower torso.

dont worry it will all work out just fine

That's really good to know! I have been excited to get the peach pai bust for almost as long as I have wanted a dollfie. I cannot wait to get my girl.

just remember to not gropeher too much
