Tierparkzone Posted May 11 (edited) One of the photo booths at Doll Point Akihabara is currently set up as a really cool Akihabara scenery and I really wanted to take some pictures there before it gets taken down again. When I had the time to take Melty there, @cetuslupeedus also joined us with her Zenon. For a while now, Volks provides cardboard standees of the store manager at every photo booth. Tierparkzone Posted May 21 Recently I took Tiffany to Hakkeijima - a waterfront/amusement park near Yokohama. The park area around the island is not too impressive but also pretty calm. Almost there! The amusement park on the island itself is free entry, you just pay for the individual attractions. This doll has been 6+ months in the making! She’s a DDH-27 M01 in Tan on the DDP. She doesn’t have a name yet, but I’m thinking Mio (澪), short for Myosotis, as the plan was always to make her into a sharl from the Ciel Nosurge and Ar Nosurge games (basically a kind of fairy). Initially, I wanted to put the 27 head on a Chimikko body, but pivoted to the DDP after seeing this combination of head+body on a D’Coord last fall. It looks like my niece is headed to Tokyo in February. I told her that's the wrong month to visit, as they only sell tan dolls in the summer 😂. Tierparkzone Posted June 4 It's time for me to go through a bit of my photo backlog again... 2024 had been a surprisingly exhausting year for me and while I still managed to get around a fair bit and take plenty of doll photos, I often lacked either the time or the energy to properly sort and edit them for presentation here on the forum. As now I'm finally getting around to preparing those photos, bit by bit I want to show these off here and also introduce you to the more recent additions to my doll crew. Although, if you've been to the Zoom meetups there's a good chance you already had the chance to meet some of them (and they're also in the doll directory). We're going to start out with a photo set that I took at Marionnette Amis, a small doll cafe in Akihabara. Me and @ragnamuffin had just gotten our hands on some outfits from Mujia Zoo, so we decided to meet up there to try them on. I brought Milly. - A custom Imomodoll Tiamat on an MDD 2.0 body. I stumbled upon her head last year at DollyTeria and after some deliberation thought she was too cute not to pick up. Unfortunately, she didn't come with any information about who did her faceup, although there were a couple more Tiamat heads there that looked like they were done by the same artist. In case anyone recognizes the style, feel free to chime in here. Since the Tiamat head comes with slightly pointed ears, I decided she'd make a cute little demon. - And the new Mujia Zoo outfit would help to round off her look: @ragnamuffin brought her Cherrie to try on the new outfit she got: Since this is a doll cafe, of course they have seating available in all sizes: Meanwhile, Milly transformed into her human disguise form. Although, with the new outfit that doesn't really stop her from standing out. 😅 She also often forgets to hide her tail and/or her wings... The cafe also provides tea warmers sized for dolls, but our small companions had other ideas about what to do with them... The cafe itself has has a cozy atmosphere with dolls (and a couple of plushies) of all sizes sitting around. Unfortunately, the drink menu consists primarily of aromatized teas (which I'm not that big a fan of) and there's only the tiniest selection of snacks. The high prices combined with a table charge, don't make it worthwhile for me to go there regularly, but for the curious doll fan, it might still be interesting to check out once.
