Lol, but if you build your own (I mean this more as generic doll diorama things) you'll have fun doing it, and if you build it right you can use it in many different ways.

What about the new body don’t you like? also I agree I was surprised by the size of her chest 😅 It feels large to me but I always preferred a smaller bust so maybe i’m just not used to a more full size. for now I’m going to keep her with the M size but I think I will end up getting her a S bust

We kind of got into it at the end of this thread, but basically the DD 2.0 and DDS 2.0 now share body parts, so it looks just like the DD, but shorter. @BeyondTime speculated that this was done to improve compatibility with different outfits between the two, and that's probably true since clothes for DD sometimes looked oversized on DDS, but the DDS used to have a distinct look that I found really charming, and it was their best body imo. Now it has bigger hips and thighs, and the balance just looks off to me, to the point that I'm having a lot of trouble bonding with Chikage/Nikki...

FYI, the DDS base body normally comes with the M bust (and fist hands, although that's not the case here), so it wasn't entirely unexpected, but I still don't like the look of it.

Wait, I thought the shorter legs were the only thing differentiating DDS 2.0 from DD 2.0? But yeah, apart from that, they have the same body line now.

I think from DD f3 to 2.0 its an improvement, but the design for DDS f3 was pretty well done and cute - it looses a lot of its individual charm in 2.0.

Have you tried your Chikage Head on one of your older DDS bodies? (Although they're all Semi-White.)

Oh yeah, you’re right, although I think the thighs are bigger since they have to fit the bigger holes in the torso now.

No, but it’s not just the body that’s the problem. I find her cheeks and jawline too big, and the slimmer neck exacerbates it. I’m also not sure the Nikki look is working for her, so I need to fiddle around with her wig and eyes a bit more.

With @OwlishBree asking about DDS Karin, that gave me a good enough reason to get off my ass and edit this photo set that I took last year at Volks Yokohama. - And in the process introduce to y'all properly: Eunie!

When the DDS 2.0 was teased last year and with it Karin's fate hanging in the balance, I decided to finally pick one up. I always thought she was cute, although her stock wig and eyes don't bring out her full potential. I was also playing with the idea of making a doll of Eunie from Xenoblade 3 and thought, the head shape and faceup are a pretty decent match for this. - So here we are:

As for how Eunie ended up outside of Aionios and instead hanging out with my crew, we'll figure that out some other time... 😝

And what a beautiful bunny she is. Glorious posing you did with this shoot. The poses not only highlight how flexible the doll is, but really make her look like a pro cosplayer doing a photoshoot gives it the extra realism. 

In Japan it's cherry blossom time again. 

Although the weather had not been very cooperative over the recent days, I managed to use a break inbetween the rainy days to take out Ellie for a walk among the cherry trees. - Enjoy:

Thanks! It was a lot of fun trying out all these poses, although it always took a while to get everything to look right and natural.

Haha, no! - Those ears are "official". 😁

I got them at Tokyo Disney Sea back in 2024.

Of course, they're selling tons of human sized headbands with mouse ears there, but a good amount of the designs are also offered as smaller key-chains. As luck will have it, these are a perfect fit for 1/3 dolls. As far as I am aware, they are limited to the shops inside the parks. - I haven't seen anything similar in the Disney stores scattered around Tokyo.

I actually took this photo to show off the tiny mouse-eared bag that I found at Daiso recently. While this photo turned out the nicest, it doesn't show off the bag all that much... 🤣

Awesome!  I'm very aware of the keychains, but those ones were so delicate looking and matched Kanata's aesthetic so well I thought for sure they were tailor made!  

I was just at Disneyland yesterday too, I guess I'll have to keep my eyes peeled the next time.

Right!!!? I had seen the human version on a visit years before and thought: "If Kanata would wear mouse ears, she would totally go for this style." So I certainly wasn't unhappy when I eventually saw the tiny version being sold.

Here's another one from the backlog. Last year during hydrangea season, I took Havarti out to Meigetsuin, a Temple in Kamakura that's lauded for their countless hydrangea plants. In the end, I never got around to editing and posting these photos. - Now that hydrangea season has come around again, I guess it's about time to finally get these out into the world:

I especially love the first photo. The way the picture is framed on the path with the steps and the railing, it almost looks perfectly scaled for Havarti there. She fits right in!
