I did it the same way some years ago, learning by seeing other faceups ... Its a good learning by doing!

And i liked it a lot to do all the faceups i did, it was a great expirience, but now i have the feeling to go my own way (style/ideas).

 

 

 

I hardly love to do faceups in the future for others when they ask about an "original" from me (because i love to do faceups, and never cant afford enough money to buy a lot own heads ). Than i will of course do it!!! I of course do work some style out and ask befor i paint (like the times befor), but i definitaly need more time than befor and dont do anything like "do it like this or that" anymore ... And at least a lot more less heads than befor ^^

But now we wan to change the subject ...

Hello there Anouc. I'm ----- (and new to DollfieDreams and to the Dollfie Dream Hobby in itself). I was wondering if some of your slots are still open? I'm debating on getting a future ddh-04 and I would like a mod to it, plus a face-up, of course. 🙂 I just have to save up the money since I just bought my first dollfie dream head (a White Christmas Alna).

Also, I read some of the earlier posts on this thread and saw that you might only do face-ups, etc, if it was in your style only. It's still okay to ask for a certain mouth style like this face: :3 and for a certain eyelash and eyebrow style (like being really up or rolling the eyebrows, etc) right? I absolutely love the face-ups I've had the pleasure of looking at that you've done.

Please let me know if you are still open for commissions or not! :3

However, I cannot show you what I want done because my account does not have over 20 posts so I cannot link you to reference pictures.

But what I wanted done, in general, was to sand the mouth off and to change it to a certain mouth expression and for the top of the eyes/the painted on eyelashes to be a certain style along with the eyebrows being a certain way but I can't describe it well enough so I was going to link pictures but I can't yet on these boards.

You have no idea how tempting this is. I'd do it in a heartbeat if I didn't have 1-2 more DD I'm trying to finish this year plus the 2 preorder girls. I do have one blank head (pre-rooted head with the hair removed ) but that's going to be one fussy/pain in the rear project that I wouldn't inflict on you. If you knew what it was you'd understand.

 

Hnnn... I shouldn't have thought about it. All I was trying to do was catch up on some threads I haven't looked at in a long time. But of course my brain never likes to stop and I do have an 'Anouc candidate' head. I keep trying to pep talk myself about getting Miss Lottie's (KosMos) head repainted this spring, and I just freeze up. It's not like I haven't done my own faceups before that I've been pleased with... but Miss Lottie just needs the certain something that you do. I never expected that she would be the one hardest for me to bond with. I really have a love/hate relationship with her default faceup. I love that she's so beautiful, but she looks like a total worrywart because her eyebrows are too low and her lips are too darn pale. Especially for a vampire. Other than that and I haven't been able to pin down exactly what her faceup should be. I think she might be a project you'd enjoy because she wouldn't be as fussy as Rainie was. The only thing is I just don't know when I'd be able to send her to you simply because of funds.

 

Every day I look at the faceups you did for Rainie, Ringo, Dakota & Kiyoteru and they just make me so unbelievably happy. It's no wonder I want to keep sending you more heads.

Yes Kosmos is a very hard head to bond with... I had her here and repaint her and had much problems to like her >___< i think her forehead is such small for wearing a normal wig ...

But at least i am a fan of her lips ^^

Grand enabler Mitsuki spammed me pics of this little gem after my last post in here. It was an offer I couldn't refuse.

 

Even so, I wasn't sure about the coloring and I was thinking that if it didn't work for Miss Lottie, I have an MDD fairy I'd been thinking about doing for a long time who it could work for. Once I put Miss Lottie's eyes in and put her wig on, I sat and stared at her for a solid five minutes.

 

I never could have imagined what the end result would be, and I imagine a lot of things. I keep having to pick my jaw up off the floor because she is so stunning. Her eyelashes and eyebrows even perfectly match her hair! She looks like Kos-Mos, but she doesn't. Seeing her now I know I couldn't have done her right. I can't even imagine, nor do I want to, what she would have turned out otherwise. For the first time since Miss Lottie got here it feels like everything has finally clicked.

 

Her body color looks a bit odd because she's borrowing Dakota's NS DDdy body. Miss Lottie is the first one of our DD to get a bigger body than they started with (even Rainie was originally planned to be a DDS.) This face with that body...

I'm not one for ogling girls, but my goodness!

Yep, Miss Lottie is #5 of one of your faceups we have. There has only been a couple of problems... #1 Miss Lottie doesn't want to give Dakota's body back (even though Dakota has new shoes to try on!) and #2 I have an extra Kos-Mos head that I keep thinking of playing with, but every time I remember the extra head I get the uncontrollable urge to mail it off to you and say "Make me a fairy!" I really love some of the fantasy stuff you've done and I have an idea about her hair color, but other than that and it would be totally up to you.

 

Now I just need to keep pushing through to get Naiomi's Closet open and I'll (theoretically) have some extra savings to actually send you the extra head!
