Last month a new girl joined my lil doll family ! Meet Mirai, my first ever Smart Doll ❤️ I wasn't planning on getting a smart doll so soon. I knew I definitely wanted one eventually, they are beautiful dolls after all, but I just never found any that I felt connected to, and I can usually tell pretty fast if I'm gonna bond with a doll or not. That was until I saw classic Mirai. Out of all of the smart dolls I've seen (there's so many releases lol) she was by far my favourite, her eyes are so pretty and she has the cutest lil smile. If I was gonna buy a smart doll, I knew I wanted to get her. But of course she was out of stock on the website, and anniversary Mirai just doesn't have the same charm the classic one does, so I kinda put her to the side to focus on my other two girls. Until oneday I came across a listing for her on a secondhand site ! And in the UK too ! She even had the original 2014 Mirai wig, plus her summer uniform, but she had quite a bit of staining and other issues that made me let her go 💔 But luckily at the same time I found another listing for her ! This one was in much better condition, though she had the regular 2018 wig (which is still cute and I have grown to love a lot) and no clothes, but I had plans for an outfit for her anyway. The seller was super kind and I managed to get her for basically the same price as a brand new smart doll ! (even with considering shipping + customs fees to the UK). They even included a cute doodle of her which made me so happy, I really love being able to rehome a doll and give her a brand new life. I'm sure she's been on lots of adventures, and I can't wait to take her on many more ! It took ages for her outfit to arrive hence the delay in posting about her (though she did steal Sasara's pink leopard print outfit for a bit, a lil big but she looked so cute). Volks sure does take a long time to ship sometimes ;-; but I think this outfit is the perfect fit for her !! She's already a well loved member of the family, I hope you guys will like her too ❤️

Hii BJD collectors! As you can realize in my account, my 1st doll was a Cortex Mirai Suenaga, at this time we could afford completely unassembled Cortex dolls and I wanted to assemble her with my dad's help, her clothing is an kit I chosed that was specially for Mirai, and I'll show very few photos since my phone is on Apple Care service in another city, so I only can use PC..but let's go to the infos. This is a Hand-assembled SMD. (She was sanded in all the glued places so most of them look like they r made of vinyl) She has poor differences next to a regular Vinyl doll, but her body complex needs to be delicately cared of, the material of Cortex is a bunch harder than vinyl plastic in usual, EVERY single piece of her outside is cortex. Also, a lot of people talk about her arm cracks that happends with a lot of people who likes posing their cortex SMDS, and is true, it actually happends a lot, is a lil hard to be careful with these details, even tho we used a VERY hard glue, and also sanded the glue marks very well, it still cracks. You can realize in the side, it has an wound in there,poor Mirai was posed to much since 2019 💔 The cortex material is hard to lead with, but I can say a lot since in 2019 I was 9 years old and she looks completely fine (nevertheless, in 2020 my lil cousin removed her poor feets out and took her eyes out,she is fine) If you see her waist you can see how me and my engineer dad are experts on doll gluing,because we sanded her waist so much you can't even see in my exploding PC camera. Here we got a cortex head,that is separated on the half of the head,not on the top, Is SOOO much easier to fit the eyes without falling them off (I personally like using ethylene Vinyl Acetate Dough) Next cortex effect is that, CARE ABOUT YOUR NAILS. DO NOT let your doll get exposed to extreme pointy stuff or strong nails,that gives her marks of rips.You can realize she got a lil harm in her cute face :c Having a cortex doll is simple. Have a safe support to make her stand, be careful touching her skin and choose protections to her body, use fabric protections in her body and keep her far away from kids. Korewa Miku de su ka? I wanted to share my custom Miku. I did face up by myself. Wig arrived last week. Did you notice: Hatsune Miku means first future sound and Mirai means future Now, the only thing missing is some typical outfit... aaaand light and sound technician aaaand scene builders... proppers... and many other important invisibles people.

Apologies for being so dead for a while, I am a senior now! (claps for myself) I would like to ask if there have been updates on Mirai Millennium's progress as an anime? I've seen the art, I have seen the trailer, but is there anything on it that it'll be an anime? Or was it just promotion?

As soon as smartdoll mirai cortex went up I purchased one and she arrived Saturday so I had a chance to build her and it was a lot of fun. I had some friends and family over so a lot of questions and eating and people in and out the of the video while I was assembling but I made a sped up version of me assembling it for IG you can watch here. I personally didn’t purchase any supplies as I had most of the stuff to build her already, although my pliers were on the small side. I am also a little ocd so I was constantly removing smudges While drying. I build, sanded and glued the pieces in no particular order as I had people over who are waiting for Gaia to restock and had lots of questions and was in no rush. The music is to cover up all the sped up gibberish in other languages feel free to mute it. Once I have another free day I will work on filling in the seams.
