Maggie May enjoyed her trip to Upstate New York and the doll meet in Dryden, NY very much, but she was tired at the end of the day. After she got back to the hotel, she got cozy in her room, did some reading, and got tucked in for a good night's sleep before returning home. I've been meaning to do a photoshoot like this for years. Something cozy, intimate, warm, and a little bit cheesecake. I'm glad I finally got an opportunity over the weekend. I always figured it would be my Iplehouse SID Eva or EID Jessica in this role, but one of my new (to me) SID Carved Heritage Harace dolls ended up being the model for this shoot. I'm glad it was her in the end. I'm still figuring out the characters of my two Harace dolls. I got to try some cute poses and some sexy lingerie poses. I always figured this Harace, my Maggie May, would be more of a sultry bombshell sort of character, but even when she's being sexy she still has a whole lot of sweetness about her. I think I love that about her. I'm glad I'm getting to know her character. I look forward to introducing her to my other Harace doll soon. They're going to be girlfriends. I so loved tucking Maggie into bed at the end of the photoshoot. It was so sweet and cute. I can wish I brought Eva in her pajamas and with her teddy bear, but it was Maggie's time to shine.

I went to Upstate New York over the weekend! It was quite the experience exploring the areas of Binghamton and Ithaca. I'll tell you all about it some other time, but part of what I was doing in NY was going to the doll meet in Dryden, NY! Just a little east of Ithaca at The Protagonist Books and Coffee. I was going to go to the Buffalo, NY meet last month, but that fell through. Dryden, NY was my mulligan, and I'm so glad I actually made it this time. We had a wonderful little meet. It was so nice to hang out with Wolfie and Eroxwel. Wolfie's husband, too! They're all so nice to talk to, and they brought a nice collection of dolls. Quite the variety! We had a lot of fun with props, too. My own contributions were my Maggie May, my large bust/no mobility joint Iplehouse SID Harace Carved Heritage, Alf, and a couple of Optimus Primes! I brought my Studio Series The Movie battle damaged Optimus and the new Studio Series Energon Universe Optimus. I swapped arms between the two of them, so now I have a nice clean Optimus while the Megatron arm is on the body of the battle damaged movie version which actually makes for a fairly comic accurate depiction of Optimus. It's weird, but they gave the Energon Universe Optimus a very clean body despite that being inaccurate. Moving on, Alf is the NECA Toys Ultimate Alf. Naturally, he enjoyed the feast laid out in front of him.

I'm finally taking some photos of one of my Harace dolls again! This is the small bust switched-over to mobility joint Harace. I am officially naming this doll Harace. My other Harace will be Maggie May. I think she is more of a Maggie May than this doll. Anyway, this doll! I decided to dress her up in this white lingerie set from (I believe) Iplehouse. I think it was listed as being for multiple sizes, but it works beautifully on Harace's small bust. Sadly, I didn't think to put Harace's high heel feet on and use the white bow shoes that Eva was wearing at the recent Philadelphia doll meet! Oh well. I enjoyed bringing a lot of sweetness out of Harace even if she made things sexy. I had fun with the poses. She is so expressive! I should get her together with Maggie so they can be lovey dovey. I'm sure they would be so sweet and also passionate! I took the above photo to have that general pose for more general audiences, but here's one more photo as I originally intended this shot to be.

I went to the Philadelphia, Pennsylvania doll meet for the first time today! Many thanks to SovranoPierrot/DK.Dolls (I'm pretty sure that's the same person, different names in different places ) for hosting. It was a really wonderful time. It was nice to meet some new people and see a few familiar faces. I'm looking forward to going to the meet again. Next time, I'll be taking the train into Philadelphia instead of driving in, for sure I brought my Iplehouse SID Eva along with two Transformers figures, Studio Series 86 Bumblebee and Cliffjumper. I was happy to bring my beloved Eva to my first Philly meet. Cliffjumper made his debut, too. I just got him yesterday. Everyone's dolls were awesome. While my contributions weren't very Halloweenish, we had a whole lot of Halloween fun to make up it! I'll share some group shots and highlights below. Eva's back with a solo photostory about enjoying a night all to herself. Well, she has a little company! She's certainly comfy-cozy, she's looking lovely, and she's going to warm your heart with what she's got going on tonight. This is a little bit of a showcase for some dolly gifts I have received from friends over the past while as well as a bit of a tribute to Iplehouse and all they've done for the BJD hobby and my personal enjoyment of it for many years. Created on Linux with the Pinta image editor. I no longer have access to Microsoft Paint for its easy speech bubbles, but I was able to get a similar effect in Pinta with a couple tools it provides. It's a bit slower than Microsoft Paint's tools, but I have greater control over how the speech bubbles look now. You can see me get more and more used to it as the photostory progresses on. This is my first time making a photostory like this on Linux.

We had a wonderful doll meet in Port Jervis, NY yesterday! It was the renaissance faire meet. Of course, that meant my ladies spent the day at the beach! The renfaire stuff was awesome, though. There was even a 90s Hunchback of Notre Dame movie playset that turned out to be an amazing prop. My Yukino and Alna made it out for the first time in a while, and Eva enjoyed lounging in her beach chair. I don't believe I ever used this bikini before, too. I'm not 100% sure I have the top on her the right way, but it seemed wrong when I did have it on her what I believed the right way. Optimus Prime and Alf with his Alf Skateboard also made an appearance. Check out the outstanding henna, too! Group shots and highlights are below. It's been too long since I've done dolly photos. I have a new computer setup now, so I figured I'd give it a go with dolly photo tasks. For the tech-minded: I'm using Linux Bazzite now. I always liked using Irfanview on Windows, but Irfanview isn't available on Linux. I used Lutris to run a portable Irfanview via WINE. It works decently enough. Navigating to my drive for photos within Irfanview is a little weird because Linux puts it on this very Linux Z drive. I also haven't been able to figure out how to make it so that I can double click on a photo and it opens in Irfanview via WINE. Next time, I may try a similar program available on Linux natively. I could also try GNU Image Manipulation Program, also known as GIMP. I have it on Linux already, but as they say, GIMPin' ain't easy. I've used it on Windows plenty, but it's not as nice to use when you just want to do minor work on photos. Hi everyone,well im very new to this hobbie i really dont know much about,but a couple days ago i buy my first doll a pukifee ante 1/8,i buy her some purple eyes 14mm so she look more cute and i put her a long black wig then i cut it a little, is name is Violet (im not very original),now im buying stuff to make her custom clothes and more but im kinda going blindfolded inside this hobby so im happy to hear tips and well how things are suposse to be done ,and im wanting to buy a dollfie dream but i still dont decide im more into moe face structures,anyways im happy to meet you all :3.

We had a great doll meet in Port Jervis, New York yesterday! Many thanks to Flipside Doll Guild for hosting it! It was the pride meet, and my new (to me) Iplehouse SID Harace ladies enjoyed a day at the beach. My SID Eva also enjoyed some fun in the sun, but she left Leah at home. Sorry, Leah! I had to leave some room for the Transformers. They enjoyed the festivities, even getting washed at the Suds and Studs Car Wash! I stopped by the Pandora's Box toy store on the way to the meet and picked up the larger Bumblebee and the human in the exosuit, too. (He wasn't named.) Everyone had awesome setups, including a literal rainbow of dolls! Special thanks to everyone at the doll meet for helping me with my Harace dolls. I did some parts swapping between them, and I wanted to make sure the colors weren't going to be a problem. (I'm partially colorblind.) I've been in a bit of the dolly dumps lately since getting my bike. I got my Iplehouse Carved Heritage SID Harace a little bit before that. I haven't done much doll stuff since then, just a couple of doll meets. Lots of biking, not a lot of dolling. So, I saw another Iplehouse Carved Heritage SID Harace for sale and bought her. Funny how that works. My first Harace doll, my Maggie May, I haven't gone anywhere with her character yet. For these photos, even though this isn't the same doll, I'm considering her Maggie. What I might do is swap some parts between them and make the ultimate Maggie. I think my ultimate doll will be small bust, plain nails, and mobility joint. For now, I've got this complete other doll. I decided to do a quick beachy photoshoot. We're not having good Memorial Day weekend weather at all at the Jersey Shore right now, so here's Maggie Make Believe. I got some beachy props out and made the best of it. I also dressed her in the City of Masters Studio bikini. I may need to adjust the top some. I think the strap around the neck is sized for large bust EID. Then again, the bikini looks extra sexy this way. I utilized the rotation afforded by the mobility joints a little bit, and I'm happy with them. This instance of Maggie has the large bust. I like it, but I wanted her to have the small bust. The large bust is growing on me, though. I also got a new wig. It is too big, but I think I can make it work. I like it tremendously. For now, it's tacked on with a silicone earplug. I'll have to do resin color comparisons between my Haraces at a doll meet or with a friend before I make any parts swaps. I'm partially colorblind. However it goes, I'm not sure what I'm going to do with a second Harace. I might make her a whole new character. Maybe Maggie and my other Harace will become girlfriends. I'll see how it goes.

I feel like there's so much variety in the hobby now, it's hard to pick just one favorite, but if you had to pick a favorite BJD company or artist, who would you choose? What draws you to them? Personally, I really love Peaks Woods! Their face sculpts have a peculiar style that I'm drawn to, especially the lips and the creases around the eyes. And their faceups are just so incredible, I have 2 and they're just so lovely irl!

It's been a while, but I made it back to the New York City doll meet today! Yes! A doll meet on Valentine's Day! It was a a nice time, and we had some dolly romance for Valentine's Day. I brought my newlywed Iplehouse SID Eva in her bridal lingerie. We had lots of doll couples, tiny kissing booths, and other dolls that were just enjoying the day. I found an Iplehouse SID Carved Heritage Harace for sale. I had actually seen her on offer last year, but I decided to pass on her even though I was tempted. I figured she sold, but I saw her up for sale again last month. I decided to get her. I love the Harace sculpt. I've admired BJD knitter Olga Borontova's Harace, Margo, for years. I'm so smitten by Margo! I am now being smitten by my own Harace. I decided to name her Maggie May as a tribute to the Rod Stewart song. Maggie has the older SID body, but she's different from my SID Eva. Maggie has the standard thigh. I like the smoothness of it, but I really like to be able to swivel Eva's legs which I can't really do with Maggie. Pros and cons. Also, Maggie has what Iplehouse calls the small bust. I don't know about that. It seems more medium sized to me, but that's the smallest that was offered with that body, with no actual medium option in the middle. I'll have to get my large bust SID Eva alongside Maggie sometime. In any case, I like that I'll have more options for clothes. Eva overstuffs some clothes. I picked up a wig for her recently, too. It's hard to get the part positioned just right, but I'll get the hang of it. Gluing one of the magnets will help, too. The frigid temperature probably contributed to it dislodging. I took these photos as an idea of Maggie returning to her hotel room after enjoying the heated pool at the hotel. Fancy! Then she changed into her sweater (of course it's from Olga!) and read the rest of the night. I like some of the photos, not so much the others, but I'm still getting used to photographing Maggie. Her eyes are positioned looking off to the side like a Momoko doll. That's unusual for a BJD for me. I may adjust them, but not right now. I'm still not sure what Maggie's character will be. I think she's going to be a single lady, at least for a while. It's been a long time since I had a single lady BJD. I think it'll be interesting to explore Maggie's single life in my world of BJDs that are paired off. Maybe she'll meet someone and find love someday, but that's for the future.

I got these totally alluring red panties today! Of course I wanted to try them on my Eva! I love them so much!!! I kind of want to try them on Leah since red's her color, but I really wanted to try them on Eva first. I can't believe how amazing she looks in them! Eva might just keep these panties. These can be her own expression of red in the marriage

I got some Jeans for my Iplehouse EID Jessica! They actually fit her! Well, they ought to. They are Iplehouse brand. I decided to try making a sexy little getting dressed photoshoot to make use of the jeans. I hope it turned out okay! I'm pretty happy with it, and I'm pretty happy with the jeans! They're a bit long, so high heels are a must! Of course, Jessica looks amazing in heels, and in pretty much anything she wears! I had a lot of fun with the last two photos, too. The standing without a stand looks were a bit challenging to balance, but they look so good!

I got some cute Iplehouse lingerie on ebay recently, and I'm trying it on Eva tonight. I think it's pretty cute! It was sold as being ideal for medium bust EID, but I think it's okay on large bust SID. It's maybe not perfect in the panties. They're a little loose on the SID body, but I think I was able to hide that well enough in the photos. I do look forward to trying this set on my EID Jessica in the future, but I just really wanted to try it on Eva because I love her! I also got the pair of shoes I used in this shoot along with the lingerie. It's a different matte finish shoe than I'm used to seeing from Iplehouse. I guess it's older. The lingerie must be old, too. I don't remember ever seeing it on Iplehouse's website. I wonder if these were available around 2010 or earlier, before I got into Iplehouse dolls.

Merry Christmas! I'm a little late to the party, but I dreamed of my beloved ladies Leah and Eva having a beautiful wedding on Christmas Day in front of the Christmas Tree. Let's pretend it's still Christmas, shall we? I am so happy that Leah and Eva are finally getting married! They have known each other for years. I've had Eva's wedding gown since 2017. It was from CrystalBJD on Etsy. It was totally, totally amazing. The only change I made was that I used the veil from an old Dollfie Dream wedding gown from 2010. I was just feeling that one more. Leah's wedding gown journey was more difficult. I originally got a wedding gown from Dollmore in 2009 or 2010, but I didn't like it so much. I thought about getting a suit for her, but that didn't pan out. I eventually got the Iplehouse SID Pure Lace set a year or two ago. I like it on Leah, but it was challenging. It's a bit large for Leah's Dollmore Model Doll body, which is fine, but what I wasn't counting on was that the gown is more of a wrap that doesn't securely fasten anywhere. Leah was popping out towards the end of my photoshoot, and it was a real pain in my pasty Irish... never mind. I don't know if it would've been more or less secure on Eva's large bust SID body. In any case, I positioned my ladies to hide any deficiencies there might be. I finally propped up Eva on an old Disney Cinderella VHS tape in the old Disney big case for the kissing shot. It was romantically appropriate. This wedding scene may be a bit basic. I was thinking about doing a whole big thing, but I ultimately decided to keep it simple, romantic, affectionate, and intimate in order to capture the essence of their union. I really, really wanted their wedding to be on Christmas no matter what, so I think the tree helps spruce things up enough. I am looking forward to exploring Leah and Eva's future together! This is only the beginning of their new life!

Well, we're probably going to get walloped with snow here in New Jersey tonight. What's Olivia to do? Go out and enjoy the evening in her hoodie, of course! You can barely see them, but she's also wearing the top and shorts that my Eva was wearing most recently, too. The top is a random top that I don't know much about, and the shorts are from a very summery Iplehouse clothes set. Yeah, it's kind of pointless to be wearing short shorts in winter like this, but I think Olivia looks really cute wearing them with this hoodie, so that's what I'm going with!

It's finally time for Cookie's proper debut! She's my Iplehouse BID Bordy, and she's my newest dolly daughter. She's such a sweet little girl, and I can't wait to introduce her to my other dolly daughters. It's Christmas Eve, so here's hoping for some Christmas Magic!

I got a small lot of BJD bikinis from ebay today, and I wanted to try one of them on Olivia before the sun went down and before we got snow! It's a surprisingly nice day today, so Olivia wasn't too cold outside while she was enjoying the sunset.

Olivia is taking a little inspiration from her good friend Eva today. I got a shorter wig for her recently, and I'm trying it on her for the first time today. It's very cute! It's shorter than Eva's hairdo, but it is still sweet and feminine. I like how it gives Olivia's beautiful body even more room to shine, and it's a plus that it does a decent job hiding an imperfection in one of her eyelashes that has developed over the years. I really should get on fixing that. Anyway, enjoy these cute and sexy photos of Olivia! I decided to take photos of her in lingerie because I wanted to test out the idea that the wig would allow her body to shine. I think it's a successful experiment! But now I think I have to get Olivia a teddy bear of her own, like Eva's Mr. Sleepy Snuggles. I think Olivia would look adorable snuggling with a teddy bear in bed.

I have finally returned to a doll meet today! This time it's Port Jervis, New York. I brought all of my little girl BJDs and Alf. My Iplehouse JID girls were enjoying the American Girl game table. It's the first time I'm using this table. I love how the photos turned out. I think I might raise it by a half inch. I think it'll be perfect after that. My BID girl Cookie was along for the ride. I still need to get a stand for her. At least she's adorable sitting down. Alf was rocking out. We had a bunch of great dolls besides my own. The family on the couch was so cute. Eva's back with another cute photostory! It's been a long time since I did a photostory with her. Of course, she's going to be in her favorite pajamas. So cute! I've been playing a lot of classic Sega games which makes me feel like a kid in his pajamas on Saturday morning, so I thought I'd capture that feeling with a little photostory this morning. Of course, Eva looks so much cuter in her pajamas! Her beloved Mr. Sleepy Snuggles also joins her for the morning fun.
