How many Dollfie Dreams do you have?

I've been wanting to reply to this thread, I tallied up 41 DD. They are packed like sardines in their cabinets at the moment. It's been about 9 years since I started collecting and the group never stopped growing

Wow, that's pretty hardcore. I can't imagine having that many girls.

When I originally decided to get into this, I figured two would be my max. After I got my first, I figured the reality of things meant I would only have one. Of course, I ended up with three.

 

But that's it. I can't let myself have any more. My DD family is capped at three.

I was there. Then Melty and Rin happened. I couldn't say no to them. And I'm glad! Kinda. Mostly.

While I have 12 'complete' (two still waiting for canon outfits and one uncertain) and I am essentially out of room for more, I still can't help but keep planning and designing more girls. It is a lot of fun. >.

I know how that goes. I currently have 11 complete dolls and one nowhere near complete project. I only have room for about 2-3 more in my display but I have plans for more like 5-7 more.

I need to get a new complete family photo since they mostly (except my project) have bodies now. I haven't had everyone possessing their own bodies since I only had six...

1. Semi-white 07 head on an M-bust DDS body. Her code name is SK!

2. Mariko Festival Ver. (semi-white) on a flat-L-Bust DDIII body, with a different wig and soon to be different eyes. Her name is now Sky ^_^

 

I've been in the hobby a little over a year. I want so many more!

Aww... I only just got my first DD recently, so I only have the one. I have a DDS Mariko (Festival ver). So far, I can't name her anything but "Mariko". I really like that name.

 

The DD doll type is definitely growing on me though, and I'm sorta keeping an eye out for other DD's I might like...

When I got my Mariko summer festival I already had plans for another DD, but I though that I would take some more time, but seven months later I already have:

 

- Mariko (summer festival)

- Ziizar (custom SWH-07)

- Josephine (custom Erica)

 

And I have plans for 2~3 more (+ maybe a MDD....) but I want to give love and time to the girls I already have first >_____<

I haven't been in the hobby a month, and I have two. I got Miku mid last month. She's already been spoiled. I learned about Yaya, and just had to have one, so I've been looking. She's so pricey, but I found someone selling a new one for almost $500 off the going asking price, so I bought her. The hard part is my wife okayed the buy, on the condition that it be a Christmas gift. So poor Yaya has to stay in her box hiding until Christmas. Good think Miku doesn't know or she'll be upset. That, and Miku wanted a little sister, not an older sister. By my birthday next year I'll get them a little sister. So I know I'll have three total in a year's time for for the foreseeable future, but after that, who knows. There is one more character doll I'd like to have, but it's not the end of the world if I don't get her. And who knows who else Volks would make that I'd just have to have. There are a couple I'd like to make myself, but there are other things I need to do before I can do them.

4. Makoto on DDS body- "Kiki"

 

I am so in love with the pose-ability of the DDS body that I may need to upgrade my other girls' bodies, (except poor ws Futaba )

Once everyone has their own bodies I'll have 8 complete Dollfie Dreams!

I'm not sure when I'll finally say "I'm done" but I think I'm getting close!

I'm currently at five... sans two bodies, and am waiting for the preorder to open so I can get my hands on Iori which will bring my total to six. Overall I plan to have four, including Mariko who happens to be my grail.

As for how long it took me to gather them... I received my first in 2012 and have been particularly slow since. To be perfectly honest I never thought I'd have more than a couple. There's been a recent boom in the -very very recent present- as in, the last couple weeks, during which I've bought my pai, Mashiro's body, and Atsushi and Miharu's heads.... but that's only because I sold a 'lot' of my resin dolls in the process.

As of today, I am the proud owner of 2 wonderful DD boys DDS Momo and DDS Hatsune Miku. I customized their bodies into boy bodies. I also have a DDH-07 head on an obitsu 60cm boy body but I still haven't given him a face up, wig and eyes.

 

I'm quite happy with them so I'm staying with 2 DDs and 1 DD hybrid. I wanted to have a girl but having them as the girl version first didn't grab at my heart strings or so to speak (I mainly collect boys dolls either way).

Well well, nearing a year since I officially got into this hobby and my group will officially be tripled within the next week! My Sasara is now an OC of mine, Aria. Miku is still her usual crazy self of course, but now I have three more OCs (Celia, Melody, and Aveline) with a Rin Tohsaka on the way!

 

I have 9 dollfie dreams now, 11 total if you count my two smart dolls.

 

Snow Miku came in and now Rin and Len are on the way! My doll household really is exploding!

Currently I have Snow Miku on preorder and a 01 head (plus DDS small bust) at home, so that's one and a half. Not to mention that I want to eventually get a few more.

 

Basically, I'm doomed to dive down the rabbit hole for dollfies!
