Did anyone get one of the Pureneemo 2 'feel' bodies? I'm considering buying one when they eventually come out in flesh and would love any opinions on whether they're an improvement on the previous bodies.

I’m curious about this too. How do they compare to the Emotion bodies?

I've been wondering why bodies seem to be in short supply lately, and found this on the Azone news section of their site: 

For the Pure Neemo S-body and Pure Neemo M-body, the supply of which has been delayed since recently, we have been rebuilding new moulds since last year to cope with the ageing of the doll body moulds and prototype moulds.

However, due to the recent social situation, development and progress, especially at overseas bases, has been slower than originally expected.

We are working with various parties and progressing with the aim of re-launching the product in the summer of 2022.
We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause to our customers and ask for your patience.

Thought I'd post it here in case anyone else was looking for an update.

Thanks! They’re all out of Feel bodies at the physical stores too and I just assumed it was because they’re popular, but good to know they’ll restock in the summer. If no one else answers before then, I’ll pick some up and post a review.

I'd love to see a review tbh! I'm also really interested to see how they compare to the Emotion bodies posing and size/dimension wise.

Ask and ye shall receive! I was out yesterday and stumbled upon a lone Pureneemo Feel M-sized body, so I snatched that baby up. Here is my review with the Full Flection M body (unfortunately I don’t have an Emotion body yet):

My first observations were that (1) the body was surprisingly heavy. It’s actually not heavier than the normal Flection body per se, it just felt that way because I hadn’t handled the Flection body in a while, and because I expected it to weigh less since the body is so much slimmer overall. Observation (2) was that it has a silky coating that is soft to the touch and reminiscent of Silkstone Barbies, if you’ve ever handled one. They’re kind of chalky without the residue.

The other thing of note is that all of the joints are now ball joints, which give it a range of motion the Flection body cannot achieve—the arms and especially the hands can be posed in ways that look far more natural, and the legs can open much wider (neither can do the full splits though).

Unfortunately the Feel body cannot bend fully at the knee like the Emotion body supposedly can, so you can’t make the doll sit seiza or hold its knees close to its chest.

But overall, the Feel is superior to the Full Flection body in every way. The bust piece is separate from the torso, but still looks far more natural than both the Flection body, which connects at the waist, and the Emotion body, which has three parts that connect at the ribs and hips and often don’t fully cover the internal skeleton.

The waist on the Full body is also much slimmer, as are the legs, and I haven’t had any issues with the feet falling off like I do with the Flection bodies (although this is purely anecdotal because I haven’t played with it as much—the sockets and joints on the feet of both bodies look to be the same).

Bad design on Azone’s part: the stockings are clearly meant to go up the thigh, but are too small/the thigh is too fat to fit properly. I thought this would be remedied by the Feel body’s slimmer legs, but I still couldn’t get them all the way up:

To add, her dress was a bit loose in the chest area on the Feel body. This is supposedly also true of the Emotion body.

@ragnamuffin this is great, thank you! interestingly, the body does look a closer in dimension to the Flection than the Emotion does. That was my pet peeve with the Emotion, it's overall very skinny and some of the older azone clothing doesn't fit well because of it. I'll be looking to pick one of these up when I can!

Yazawa Nico: eternally smiley (unless...), takes her idol activities very seriously

Watanabe You: loves playing sports, uses a lot of nautical terms (aye-aye!, avast!, etc.)

Ohara Mari: trilingual (Japanese/English/Italian), feels relaxed when at a hotel

So far. Mari was my most anticipated Neemo girl.

I'm just collecting stuff right now to get ready to make my own. there's not as many tutorials as for other dolls. I just was wondering what advice you'd give. I'm a little nervous about it.

i've "Enhanced" (YMMV) a Pure Neemo, moving my PN Squid Girl from her ORIGINAL early-PN body to an OBITSU 26;

I've customized my PureNeemo Rem (left) but only gave her new hair/eyes and painted her eyebrows to match.

I’ve never made my own, but I did find these two videos by someone who paints Azone/Obitsu heads:

She says she’s lazy and skips some steps, but basically it goes like this:

You need a thin brush for painting, acrylic paints (can also use coloring pencils, pastels and/or pens), cotton swabs, toothpicks, water for your brush, and Mr. Color paint thinner.

(1) Lightly rub the face with paint thinner to remove surface oils and shampoo the hair (she skips this part). Tie the hair back so it doesn’t get in your way (she doesn’t do this either).

(2) Make a rough mock-up of the face you want to draw—most people would do this on paper and then again on the face in pencil before drawing for realsies, but she goes straight to painting on the head. You can make corrections with the paint thinner using the cotton swabs and toothpicks. If you want the face to be symmetrical, check it in the mirror (she doesn’t do this).

(3) Put the head on a stick and cover the face (she skips this part), then prep the hair to be in the style you want. Pour boiling water over it and let the head soak in hot water for a bit before leaving it out to dry for a few days. Once it’s dry, style the hair.

(4) Put the finishing touches on the face (blush, highlights, touch-ups, etc.). She uses Tamiya Weathering Master for the blushing. You can do this step at the same time as (2) above, but she likes to make adjustments after cutting the hair so she has a better idea of what the doll should look like. It’s up to you.

(5) Last minute fixes to the hair style before putting them in their clothes, and voila! You made your own doll.

Note that making adjustments with cotton swabs and toothpicks only works on soft vinyl (Azone and Obitsu heads), and not on hard vinyl (ABS/PVC).

That's super helpful. I found a few videos but more always helps. it makes me excited to get going on this project! I should start buying the supplies now! thanks for translating too. I don't know enough kanji to get that all.

Hi! I am very new to Azone ex cute/ pure neemo dolls and I have a lot of questions! First of all, why are replacement bodies so hard to come by? I’ve seen old photos on Flickr of many different poses ect., but I can’t find any to buy! I am looking for a small flesh flection body for my Aika blueberry holic nightmare, she came with the old “A type” body and is not very posable. Also, is the size difference between the medium and small bodies that noticeable? I’ve looked at a few photo comparisons, but I can’t seem to come to a conclusion for myself. I’ve found a medium body, but I don’t want her dress and stockings to look off, or for her to look awkward posing with my other two Azone ex cute girls. Any and all information is welcome! I’m so excited to be a part of this hobby- hope it doesn’t bankrupt me!

@LaRosePetite I don’t have pure neemos anymore but I can try to help a bit with what I know. About availability I cannot really help you since I am in Europe and my reseller has quite some bodies in stock, but normally by checking Miami you might find what you are searching for (using a proxy could also help for customs issues).

About the size, there is not much difference with the newer bodies, it’s mostly a bust size difference and about 1-2cm in height if I am not wrong (so it depends on you if you find it to be a big difference or not, personally I don’t think so, the S clothes still fit quite well on a M body from what I remember), but you must know that they are still a bit thinner than the original ones, so some clothes can look a bit of a loose fit on them.

Anyway, can’t wait to see your dolls, starting a new collection is always a lot of fun 🤗 Which dolls did you pick ?

@RomyDoll thank you! That’s really helpful! It’s difficult to find information on these girls. I have 3; Aika, Lien, and Chiika. All are from Mandarake, all new with damaged boxes. My Aika could technically drive a car lol! I think I have inserted a link to my Flickr- not 100% sure how to do it on my phone. I’d love to see pics of the dolls you are collecting!

I used to have a few 1/6th scale dolls but I sold them some time ago, now I have a preference for tiny anime dolls than “larger size ones” (I don’t collect dolls taller than 30-32cm so that’s what I call large 😅). So I have a sugar cups and a lil fairy on their way home to start a new collection, I’ll share pictures here when they arrive

Omg don't get me started on Pureneemos again 😆.

I have quite a few already, and the problem with Pureneemos is there appear to be millions of them (millions x 2 if you include the limited store releases and the regular ones).

I like the ExCute range and also the character ones with proper eyes. I always have a Pureneemo on my desk to help me through my working day (DD are too large for this role, and they also only like watching anime in the evenings).

Nezuko is arguably the best Pureneemo ever released. She has a removable wig and [possibly] removeable eyes too.

Nezuko is so pretty- I love her pink eyes!
