Has anyone received a payment request for their Dollfies? ;w; I know the store is having issues, but I remember the email we got on Monday said the remaining payment email would be sent this week. I can't really check what's going on with my order because of the status of the store. Just asking, because I don't want to miss it !

If not today, maybe we'll get the email tomorrow. (TwT)

Considering this, it's a good thing we didn't get a payment request. Considering this, it would be surprising if anyone received a payment request. Checking Volks USA now, the web site can't accept payments yet. A payment request now would only serve to cause additional and unnecessary grief. Until the web site is actually fixed, we're not going to receive the payment request e-mail at all.

Speculation #1: I think that e-mail was sent prematurely. Someone who isn't responsible for the technical side of the web site at Volks USA was likely told the site would get fixed "this week" (which is as of this writing now last week). Taking whoever said this at his/her word, the non-technical Volks USA employee sent out the e-mail. The technical issue resolution estimate was then proven to be way off, so there hasn't been any observable progress from the customers' perspectives. In the meantime, the customers with pre-orders (us) get to suffer additional anxiety which could have been prevented if the upcoming payment request announcement wasn't declared as being "this week".

Speculation #2: Volks USA expected to get shipments of the dolls last week and then sent the announcement. As mentioned in another thread, shipping from Japan has become a nightmare. While the expectation of receiving shipments existed last week, the shipments might have been delayed for the reasons mentioned in the thread. While the web site can open once it's ready without sending the NieR payment request, there's no point in sending a payment request if the dolls haven't arrived.

Since I don't have any inside information, I have no way of knowing how close I am with my speculation.

They can probably handle payment by sending a Paypal invoice or taking payment over the phone. I wouldn't worry too much about getting the payment request. If their site is still down I am sure they will work it out with the customer, or extend the payment deadline. 

It almost feels unreal but 2B and 9S are finally in transit to me from Japan.
I paid in march sometime before they stopped all international payments and since EMS is available to my country they were able to send them out this weekend. It's been a long wait and I really hope everyone will at least get their dolls within this year.

You called it. I just received an e-mail update. Payments will be handled through PayPal starting May 8.

They're going to require you to have a Paypal account to be able to pay for your doll?

No idea.

While I have a PayPal account, the email address I use for it and the address I use with Volks USA are different. The PayPal e-mail address not matching the e-mail address I use with a web site has never been a problem but I sent an inquiry anyway. I don't want to assume this won't be a problem with Volks USA and then find out later it will be a problem.

I honestly don't remember what shipping method I chose. The web site being broken makes checking impossible. I can't check the order conformation from having paid the deposit at this moment because I'm using my phone instead of my desktop PC right now. Even after I check, I wonder if the shipping method can be changed at all because the web site is broken. I asked about this as well.

AFAIK, at least anecdotally in trying to order from various places, any time payment is requested "via Paypal invoice" the only way to pay is with an account; at least I've never seen a case where this isn't true.

Since I'm not in this preorder, it doesn't affect me anyway, but it's useful for me to know because they might do this again in the future where it would affect me.

Hah. Everything under [Schedule] must be cut-and-paste from the original instructions since there are at least two things in there that either don't still work the same way or at minimum need further explanation.

You can't change your address on the website since it's non-functional, yet it doesn't tell you how to change it via an alternate method.

"Pick up" shipping method may not be doable if there is still the travel restrictions in place that I understand are there now.

Since they're still going to hold your deposit if you don't pay, it hopefully isn't going to require a Paypal account; otherwise if you're unable to create one you are out of luck, and in my opinion isn't fair to have the terms of a transaction changed after you've entered into it.

I’m a little confused about the address situation too.

I recently moved and I was told a while ago I could just update the address when I make the remaining payment. I just sent an email seeing how I can update it now.

They really make more work for themselves by not explaining those issues in that email, because the result is everyone who needs and answer as you do will have to email and ask, and then they have to answer all those questions individually.

Anyway, it's good that more dolls will finally be getting to owners. Between the delay with these because of how many preorders there were, the production issues and now this virus mess, it's been a long wait.

Now that they are re-opening international orders I would expect you could get a notice anytime.

I really hope so. I'm buying my 9S through a friend who is paying off their preorder but we haven't gotten anything yet. 

Thanks for the reminder. 😑 I was going to make an order now that the international site is working again, but I think I'll wait until I know what is the payment method they want this time.

I'm so glad I wasn't able to order 9S. I would've gone crazy by now.

I am really relieved to know that 9S/Ollie will be paid off soon. It has been really very difficult holding onto his payment for such a long time, especially with what is currently going on. It is going to be a bit surreal seeing him with Tama and Evan. I have never waited so long for a doll in my entire life. Seriously, how long has it been?

There shouldn't be any change in that, as the store wasn't closed in general, only to sales outside of Japan.

The change to Paypal for the US Nier payments isn't a change to payment in general, just what is being done because the Volks USA website isn't working so the cart system can't be used for payment.

Recently found out and wanted to share: 14mm eyes can go with 2B. Maybe somebody was curious about it 😅
