Hello ~ ❄️ I finally received my DD Snow Miku after waiting a very long month for her to arrive from Japan! I always loved this doll, ever since I saw her back in 2016. Of course, I wasn’t able to buy her back then, but she always stayed on my mind… And she’s finally here!! I’m just so happy… she really reignited a creative spark for me. And here she is! Maybe it isn’t very noticeable in this pic, but she is stained on her arm, moreover her manicure is also damaged on her left hand. One of her shoes is also a bit damaged, however I think it is easily fixable. I got her for an acceptable price for a fullset* snow Miku (100k Yen) so I was okay with those caveats. Weirdly enough, her original owner never bothered even opening the documentation she came with, nor did they even apply one of those 01 tattoos. I must say, I now, weirdly enough, doesn’t want to open it either somehow lol *This isn’t her original outfit of course. Knowing how it aged terribly, and yellows worse than an old SD sunbathing for years, as such I didn’t want it at all (except maybe if I found a reboot Miku). My original plan was to get her nude or head only and then buy one her other beautiful Snow Miku sets. But knowing how expensive these can be (the one I got [2018 Snow Miku] easily sells for 30-40k Yen), I basically jumped on the occasion and bought her! Since she is already stained due to her outfit, I made sure to protect her by buying a body suit, which I bought off Dollyteria. This is the 2nd version of the semi white bodysuit, and I must say I’m very pleased with how it blends with her body colour. Since she’s an older doll, I was expecting her to have yellowed with age. Yet she doesn’t even look yellowed to me! So that was a nice surprise. She looks kinda weird in it though?! I feel like it outlines her body anatomy weirdly. So now, time to put her in her clothes! I really like how uneven her socks are. Her inner kimono + skirt are actually amazing by themselves, even without her having her coat on. The quality of those garments is quite impressive too. Annnd Tada! Here she almost completely dressed. Her shoes are sooo cute!! I actually left her like this for a few hours, I think I loved her that way too lol. Being a “Dollface” Persian herself, my cat got way too curious by wanting to sniff that weird doll thing, however please do not worry. My cat is of the kind that never eats anything other than her food and treats. Moreover, my dolls are now in a glass cabinet she cannot reach. And here she is fully dressed in her set, alongside my off-topic MSD. I added the second picture to show better how the blue end of her otherwise white hair looks! (Mods, I hope this is allowed. If not, please let me know. Also, I wasn't sure if these pics should be here or in photos, so feel free to move this post if you need to. ) Story Time: With no plans of getting any more, I have one Dollfie, a (spoiled!) OG Hatsune Miku. When the Volks vote for what doll should be rebooted came up, I voted for Sakura Miku (and Luka!) every day. I seriously considered getting a Sakura Miku, but soon realized that my Miku is the only one I needed, and that I only wanted the outfit for her. I doubted that anyone would be willing to sell me just the outfit, so I came up with a plan. I would make my own Sakura Miku. I found someone that makes a version of the full outfit, some pink shoes, a pink wig and pink Follow Me eyes (because I prefer them for Miku.) I also managed to find knit cherry keychains at a craft store. With a little bit of crafting, I put everything together. So now I have my very own Sakura Miku! I even re-created some of the poses from the official Volks Sakura Miku page. I hope you like her! She finally arrived this morning! Customs still hadn't sent the letter with the charge reference, and I didn't want to wait any longer, so one phone call later and she was scheduled for a Saturday homecoming... She's unlike anything else in my collection - soft vinyl, tall, hair that's soft and needs actual proper care... I also understand what yous say about not being able to stop at just one. I know I'll be making another order soon LMAOO The eyes are what get me the most. They're not "follow-me" eyes, yet it still seems like she gazes at you from quite a few angles. It's so damn cool. She's getting settled in on my shelf now, looking very comfy :3 I saw a lot of ppl saying the stockings were very stain-y, so I thought it would be wise to just put the white socks on that I bought a few months ago in advance. Past me was kinda goated for that decision.

Sorry I'm new so I might mess up some formatting but anyways theres a outfit on mandarake I've been searching for AGES for but I cannot find the source or where it's from other than the manda store! I have a Cotindoll Miku wig that I would like to replace the rubber bands in and somehow make the rubber bands/strings/wire of the twintails more permanent. Because I play with her quite often, the current rubber bands are slowly slipping down the twintails. I was thinking of using string of some kind and glue/epoxy, along with fishing line/monofilament/wire, like the kind that is used to make bracelets in order to glue the string/wire/monofilament/fishing line/etc to the twintails. Has anyone tried to make permanent twintails/ponytails rubberband holders? If so, how did you do it? Ryu

I started a thread for my Miku a while back and intended to post all of my photos of her there, but then I got Kaito shortly after and figured instead now I'd make a thread to post my future photos. I took the two of them out for a photoshoot a while back, and had a bit of a disaster happen on the way. Miku's nose came in contact with the black carrying bag I had them in and was stained solid black. I had to travel a bit for the photos, so I took some anyway, hoping I could edit some to look decent after, especially since it was Kaito's first shoot. It took me weeks to get the stain out and I didn't even want to look at the photos. Almost none of them were salvageable both because of Miku's nose and because my camera apparently wanted to be temperamental that day. Moral of the story: Even 16 years of doll photography will never get me used to manual focus, and do not try to fit two dolls into a black leather carrying bag. I figured I'd post thew few photos I didn't hate here anyway and then continue to post photos of these two here in the future. I hope to go back to this location on a better day! There were some really beautiful 'props' that the photos I took of didn't turn out or I couldn't get Miku to look acceptable in them. I keep forgetting to post her her! I got a hold of Shin Sato and since she was announced I dreamed of making her my Sakura Miku. I’m on a small quest to reshell all my Mikus into sculpts that I like more! Not pictured is Kizuna Ai as Regular Miku.

Hello Friends, While not a BJD, I thought some of you might be interested in this upcoming collaboration between traditional Japanese doll maker Yoshitoku, and anime figure maker F:NEX. They are working together to make a 1/4 figure of Hatsune Miku dressed and styled as a traditional Japanese doll with a beautiful kimono. So far only the artwork image is revealed. This is a type of doll that you simply buy and display, but nevertheless I thought some of you might be interested. She is not yet up for preorders. Twitter Link -

Greetings! Today, August 31st, is Hatsune Miku's birthday! For the past 12 years, Miku and her lovely voice have captivated and inspired the entire world through every form of media imaginable. My Miku Triplets all share this birthday and also celebrate their arrival anniversaries today. Miku Append arrived first in 2014, followed by Hatsune Miku in 2015, and finally, Snow Miku in 2016! We send our warmest birthday wishes to all the other DD Mikus out there on this wonderful day. Here's to many more years of Miku!

Finally bought a new outfits for my Hatsune Miku DD and Luna, my Smart Doll Felicity. I can't wait for it to arrive, it's my first time buying from Doll Heart, I'll definitely post pictures when it arrives! If anyone here has any experience with Doll Heart I'd love to hear it and If you have pictures I'd love to see them!
