Hi, eveyone Since Obitsu relased their new super whity color I been want to get my hand on one, and just in luck I found someone geting rid of an Azone Iris Collect doll body in that color. By checking on Azone's page the body belong to Iris Collect Kano winter date ver, so far the only azo2 that has the super whity colors. Azo2 is also the body tpye in the obitsu family I never had, so I'm really happy I got to own one. Just right in time my semi white DDH-20/DCH-20 Abyssia who I just (almost finish at the time) finish her paint job needs a body. The photo I took here are in afternoon and lamp lighting, the only differnt is her head being a bit more dusty(which might because the blushing with I used some light gray and blue. here is the photo of thr headcap(DDH20 SW) and the body, lighting is day light shot with iphone. As it shown here they are really alike, with the DD semi white being a litte cool toned but they are bascislly the same in person. This is also the first body I got since they annoced the texture change for their limbs shells to something softer. I do like Abyssia can sit on her feet now and the new testure do felt nicer for me who have some really annoying sensory issues, but there is one problem with this change being sometimes her upper arm joint ball might pop out of the shell when I'm dressing her up.Her wrist joint is still that good old ob joint, even with a softer hand now I still found it hard to pose for some photos and changing hands, I might change it out to a MDD one in the future in that way she can also have more hand choices too. Not gonna lie I do like how Abyssia with this body and the colour is a nice match. Now it comes to getting outfits for her, which would be something. She is wearing azone's hoodie and shorts here, but I wanna measure her just incase.Her bust is AZO2 I which is biggest in the AZO2 line. Here are the tough measurment, might give an ideal for picking outfit for azo2 Height:50cm Shoulder:10cm Bust(AZO2 I):25cm waist:16cm Hip:24.5cm Thight circumference: 15cm legs : 30cm arms(no hand):16cm She might fit some shorts and skirts for Kumako by Puyoo or Imomo dolls, but I havent try it yet. I sold my licensed DD Emilia because her sculpt wasn't doing it for me... then I thought of modding my SWS DDH07 and giving her the faceup that I envision for Emilia.

Hello! I've been really busy and hadn't have the chance to post here and look at posts. However, buying a limited edition DD BJD based from a Japanese video game costs an arm and a lag! But DD Kirika Towa Alma from Shining Resonance finally came! She is very beautiful and worth every penny! She came to my home back in July 9! Volks Inc. Dollfie Dream boxes are very tall and huge! She comes complete in box with the exception of her original blue butterfly hair clip. A 3D printed white butterfly hair clip serves as a replacement and it looks nice! I took a decent amount of photos of my DD Kirika, but she is not travel ready yet. Because, I need to buy some DD hands, a stand, and maintenance supplies. I'm experienced owning a BJD, since I used to have a SMD Mirai before sending her to a new home. Now I'm just focusing on Dollfie Dream in general and plan to buy a few more DDs. DD Kirika Towa Alma is truly a keeper! And she is a underrated character from a underrated JRPG series! Are there other suggestions to buy more essential things for my first Dollie Dream? Thank you!

I stumbled upon Shineworkshop's 1/4 Tinyfox and MDD comparison video on Youtube, and I plunged doing the same hybridization that they did! I was also very inspired from sfsakana's Anya Forger custom and tried my hand on making my own Anya as well. As much as I liked Martha's sculpt on the 1/4 Tinyfox body, I feel that she looks older than the character that I'm going for. So I went ahead and got myself a SWS DDH27 head, made the eyes, and painted the faceup. To install the Dollfie head on the Tinyfox body, you don't need the lower plastic part. Only the screw on top is enough to secure the head. I'm glad that it doesn't need any further mods to hybridize a Dollfie head on this body. Pros: DD Semiwhite skintone matches quite well with the Tinyfox body. There's only a slight tint difference - DD SWS is a bit more pink (?) and Tinyfox is more on the yellow tone. Tinyfox body poses like a charm. The body feels solid and sturdy. Tinyfox is also smaller than MDD so it's even easier to carry around! Clothing for 1/4 Tinyfox is generally easier to get as they also fit in standard MSD clothing like Minifees. Cons: Head tilts are virtually impossible. It was difficult for me to photograph her head on a specific angle that I wanted, so I had to make do. Since Tinyfox bodies are smaller than MDD, MDD clothing is a little bit bigger on them (so I'm listing this as a con for me). Same for shoes. The MDD shoes are loose on her unless I put socks on, and it's hard to get the shoes on her feet because her plastic isn't soft.

Hello everyone! I've really wanted an MDD for a long time now, but I didn't want to commit $500+ to one either. Then I found this blog post where someone put a Dollfie Dream head on 1/3 & 1/4 Dream Fairy bodies with good results. After going to the DBS official AliExpress store (they aren't recast, they make their own original dolls), I found that they have anime style dolls too. I was wondering if this body: Would fit with a Dollfie Dream head. Thanks! -

Hello, all! I'm new to looking into vinyl dolls and I've been eyeing a couple of the standard models, and I keep coming back to Towa. But, I'm kinda sculpt-blind, I can't tell what sculpts look like under faceups and it's especially bad with anime style faceups. So, I was wondering if anyone happens to have a picture of Towa blank? PS, I know that someone made a thread requesting a blank Towa picture at some point, but it wasn't answered in the thread and so, no picture for me to look at. They mentioned wanting to close that thread, so I figured I'd just make my own instead of bumping that one. If that was the wrong thing to do, sorry! Thank you for any help! -
Decided to take inspiration from Tierparkzone's thread to make my own lump thread for my photo stories compared to lots of different ones. I also tried adding speech bubbles to the photos compared to just having text. Was strange getting used to doing, haha! Anyway! I ordered her a few weeks ago from Ayumist and got a surprise package today! EMS tracking doesn't like to update 😅 I got her on the DD Sister body. I have another DC-H 24 in semi-white, makeup #03. To my surprise, makeup 01 has painted teeth as well, which I never really saw in the promo photos (and that's actually why I originally got an m03) I can't seem to get a good picture of her teeth that doesn't look cursed 🤣 so... take this one Next to my SWS DDdy 24 M03: 👋 Tan is an absolutely gorgeous colour in person! I'll be posting here my progress with my custom Marin Kitagawa, from the show My Dress-Up Darling (DDH06 in flesh, on a DDSIII body). I've worked on sculpts with more narrow eyeholes, but that's also because Marin was doing her typical "grin" and silly smile. For my custom, I wanted her to look cuter. I've done multiple DDH09s and while it may be suitable, I was also curious with the DDH06 sculpt. I took the chance to get it from Volks USA before it went out of stock. For her faceup, I actually got the inspiration from DDS Ram from Re: Zero with the subtle pink eyeliner. But of course I gave her a gentle smile. I was a little hesitant on whether I'd like to give her more "worried" eyebrows but I just left it slightly angled. I've known Marin to have a strong personality so I didn't want her to look "soft". I'm currently waiting for her new wig and earrings. I couldn't find bjd neckties for 1/3 size anywhere (if you know any, please let me know! I'd be very thankful!), so I feel like making it myself at some point. I'm also considering giving her a manicure, but I didn't want to limit this doll to just Marin so I might get another pair of default hands for that. More to come!

How do you deal with Miku's leather parts in her outfit? I noticed that it's starting to get sticky and has those cracks when it stretches.

Using older DD parts on a newer body or vice versa

I recently had my original Miku, so she has a spare pair of hands. I decided to use that pair on my newer DD f-3 SWS custom. Here's how it looks: But if you look closely, I can tell that there is a difference: While this doesn't really bother me, I guess at least I can see what age does to a SWS DD. I have a DDS Mio Honda and she's aged pretty well, but I don't have newer flesh parts to compare the skin color. Feel free to share if you also swapped out parts within your newer and older dolls! -
Not sure if this was already posted before, but I wanted to share my experience with both the official Volks Miku wig and Cotindoll's Onion Green Miku-styled wig. I have not styled the official Miku wig out-of-the-box, while I have used a flat iron gently on the Cotindoll wig (because it arrived totally poofy and the fringe might have warped due to the AZ heat ) These photos are from my Google Pixel 4a. None of these are post-processed. Just under my room's night lighting. So here are my two Mikus side-by-side (left is my custom SWS DDH09 Miku, right is the official Miku): From afar, the wigs look really identical. But if you look closely at the Cotindoll wig, it appears to be shinier: The official Miku wig is more tame and matte: Let's take a look at the back of these wigs. They are still very similar, but with slight differences. The Cotindoll wig: The official Miku wig seems to have been tied in some sort of a "cross", and has short strands by the bottom left and right. I'm not sure if it's just the very dry AZ weather and the way these wigs arrived, but the official Miku wig was softer to the touch. But at the same time, it had less volume than Cotindoll. Personally, I do not have a preference. When it comes to the color match, virtually I don't see a major difference. It wouldn't photograph well, but the Volks wig appears to be a little darker. Cotindoll wig with flash: Volks Miku wig with flash: Overall, I think the Cotindoll wig is an excellent brand if you want to use another wig for Miku, or a custom Miku. I'm not very confident in using the wig products yet so I'll probably leave it at that. Maybe if it is styled properly, it would appear a lot better. For some reason, the Volks wig gets frizzy easier compared to the Cotindoll wig. Plus I find it easier to handcomb the Cotindoll wig as well. Both have their pros and cons. I hope this image heavy post helps!

This weekend I placed an order on Mandarake for the Miu Amaha I've been eyeing for over half a year now. She arrived today and I'm absolutely in love! Unfortunately it was dark by the time I opened her, so I'll try to get better pictures tomorrow... Pannya! Surprisingly, her shirt doesn't seem to stain. It looks like it may have been washed? Perhaps her previous owner treated it to remove excess dyes. She's my first DD on the DDII frame as well as my first hard headcap (🥲 pried it off with a butter knife and hair dryer.... should I just buy a blank head to steal the headcap from it for her??) I'm very happy with her! Not sure how I'll style her yet, so I'm keeping her as Miu for now. She marks my 9th DD and 13th Volks doll! Almost double digits for DDs 😄

I've always wanted to buy the licensed Miku Hatsune DD... But one part of me wanted to customize my own. I got myself a DDH09 and painted the head similar to Miku! It's not perfect and I'm still practicing more, but I liked how it turned out so far. Wig is Cotindoll and the cute sailor crop set is from DollDelights.

My First MDD and Doll in Three Years, MDD Rena Ryugu (Minor NSFW Due to Dolly Nudity)

Hello everyone! I am so excited to share with you my first girl in three years, and my very first MDD (though she'll probably move up to a DDP soon). This is my new girl Reina! She is an MDD Rena Ryugu and if you know anything about Higurashi, Rena's legal name is Reina, but she changes it after her parent's divorce. I personally like the spelling of her legal name, and I like to give all my girls different names from their original character dolls, so hence the name change. Without further ado, here are the box opening pictures! and a cute little story of her meeting Lana. Her box came in extremely rough condition from DHL. To the point where my contact asked me if I wanted to pursue a replacement if the doll box itself was damaged. I opted not to because the doll box was fine at this point in time, and I was just so eager to get her in my hands that I did not care. When I finally got her in my hands, the doll box was pretty dented, but I was literally shaking with excitement so I couldn't care less. The box itself was extremely light compared to other Dollfie Dreams I have opened in the past, but I think this thought comes from the last Dollfie I opened being Jeanne, and how heavy and tiring she was to lug around the airport to get her home. AHHH! THERE SHE IS! LOOK AT THAT FACE! So, so sweet! Her head is really large and looks similar to my Moriko (DDdy Yoko). Reina: Oh! Hello there Mrs. Giant! Me: Hello Reina! My name is Redacted but since I am showing you to all my dolly friends, I would prefer it if you could refer to me as Rozen just for the forum stuff. Reina: Oooh! You have a secret identity?! Yesterday I went with Rain (excellen browning) to the Botanical garden in our city and treated us (not Rain, she can go for free lmao, it was myself and rommmate) to the annual membership because it's been really sad for me having to leave behind the property in Canada where I loved so much taking pictures outside. I thought maybe this would help me to settle in, and I think it really will. The gardens are so beautiful and there are not many people to make me feel weird XD so it was a very pleasant afternoon. Now for her adventures! I took a lot of photos, but this was basically her first vacation so it seems ok 😊

Hi! Some people wanted to see my collection on my new post I made. Hope this is under the right category. I'm having slight problems with pictures so I hope this links correctly. Sorry for the bad angles and camera quality. They usually look more organized but I've been moving them around and my maids will sometimes place them differently and I'm too lazy to make them all face forward.
