I grabbed this gorgeous head from Mandarake! I’ve been looking at her in store for months before finally going for it. She’s a DD and I was pleasantly surprised to find a signature and date inside from the artist! I can’t make out what it says but if anyone knows who the artist is I would love to show them once I finish her(someday lol). so immediately I’m trying to pick which body I should be on the look out for and my knowledge of vinyl dolls is so small. The problem is I want her to have thinner legs and a pretty large bust!! I see her as this sexy pretty vampire girl who won’t wear many clothes at all. tinyfox bodies look too young, I don’t like the boobies on dollfiedreams, she deserves better than imomo(ily imomo but yno), smart dolls are MASSIVE. Other than those I only know of angelphillia and I’m kind of liking the idea of that. The heads a little big but I don’t think it looks that bad. it really bothers me how APs butt is SO SMALL 😭compared to those thighs I would totally want some nice curvy hips and butt! But for her Maybe I could just put a AP bust on an Obitsu body? other than got any suggestions?!!!

I was tired of hunting for nom-anime head. So I put worbla on one old head I sculpted few years ago. The clay sculpt was done as study of Rapunzel head which didnt end up as exact copy. Her life was short. She was dust and to dust returned. I should do this long time ago but maybe I was not personally evolved enough or I just had prejudices towards technology. I need to paint head and then do face Up.

Here is my Smart Doll Journey in Milk. She is my only Smart Doll, I had trouble bonding with her because a Smart Doll's identity/character already feels so distinct when you purchase them. I usually prefer to create original characters for my dolls but I also enjoy some licensed character dolls. Since I was struggling to find an identity for Journey, I decided to restyle her to look like Super Sonico since I pine for the official Sonico dolls. I enjoy her so much more now!

Heya!! So, I see such cute mixes of undies that are feminine I'd love to put on my MDD MA I have on her way home right now! But, I truly have been unable to discern if MDDMA would fit SD sized or MDD sized undies for their cute caboose. I've seen some super cute custom ones on YA!JP but, I don't wanna take the bite and them not fit :,) If anyone could show me them wearing either both, or help me of which exact size does indeed fit, I'd appreciate it so much!!

Hello everyone 😸 Thought I would start a pictures thread from my house and my little lot of resource gorging inhabitants. Or my little buddies as I have always seen-called them. ^-^ Never called them a family as such, more like companions as we journey these years we have together and adventures. I might post some stories in the stories threads from time to time, but they will be more like the day to day of their lives and lighter in feel. More able to stand on their own as a light one off tale, other than the now huge decade+ long universe they travel the timeline of. Those tales will probably stay on my little corner of the internet. Always very welcome to ask me questions of it though. ^^ I will post pics of their characters for fun and their general info here as time goes on. Here we have a Tara, Dee "clone" and a big Schrodinger. In a very much out of the forth wall clip. 😜 (They are usually in character and under the ice in Antarctica at a giant ancient alien city.) I suppose this is an update too to questions most gratefully answered in the body comparison thread. Hopefully going to "upgrade" this Dee from MDD to DDP with upgraded chest to keep her in age character. The chest arrived and the body is on the way! ^-^ yay! Will post pics of that when ready. I've seen some pretty cool mods on twitter so I thought it would be fun to have a thread for sharing cool mods we have seen or done! Hybrids are also welcome! I wasn't sure which section to put this under since its not really specific to a particular brand. Also topic is NSFW for doll nudity. Anyways I saw this really cool DDS and DDdy hybrid with shortened legs I also saw this really cool DDS mod where the torso and limbs were shortened to be the same height as a MDD. I lost the post though but it had a comparison picture of it versus the normal MDD. The proportions looked great and there wasn't any apparent gapping.

Many years ago, I made an old sculpting thread following the progress of my anime boy, Spica. I wanted to add an anime boy head option, since even resin heads, there aren't too many options. I even went as far as to hold a preorder, but the results weren't that great.😅 But after sulking for a while, I didn't want to give up doll making entirely. I also wanted to create a new post mainly to bring a newer method of how I make dolls as well as the fact I ended up with Astrea Doll as my "company" name, lol versus the concept I made when I was 18. Here's the original post: And here's the guy all finished, but sadly he wasn't compatible at all with vinyl bodies easily. I did want to expand my group of sculpts however and try my hand at making more anime heads, especially heads compatible with DD and SmD bodies, with what's available with the current bodies. Polaris herself was sort of a random urge of sculpting since I still had my old test mold of Spica and I wanted to try my hand at hand sculpting her, so here are some progress photos: https://www.flickr.com/photos/natsukiphoto/ While refining my sculpt Polaris, I thought how nice would it be have her in vinyl. But knowing the approximate cost, and being unsure if I would be able to sell any, I had to give up. It was until I remembered that Volks used to make their DDII bust out of resin. For a while I thought it was Volk's special formula as I could really only pull up rigid type of resins...until I was browsing the Smooth-On website and found semi-rigid resins. I also was getting quite envious of digital sculptors lol and wanted to try my hand at it. After some searching I found an online based program called SculptGL (same family as Nomad sculpt, but more like the first sculpting program by Stephane Ginier.) So while toying around with the software I finally complete Polaris with the features I wanted her to have since I wasn't satisfied with my hand sculpting and with every refinement I made, there was always something else after a while I would notice that looked uneven to me. I then used Zbrush at my school to lower her resolution to make her more ideal for printing an am currently cutting the head open in a CAD software to finish her inner construction. But I'm having a bit of a dilemma, knowing how simple anime doll sculpts can be, does Polaris resemble any dolls on the market? Her sketches were just drawings to play with some faceup ideas, but I would like to personally avoid looking like other dolls on the market and avoid a lawsuit and then have to live in a box lmao. I'm also open to any criticism and feedback, I'm happy to hear anyone's thoughts really since I want to improve as an artist. I'm also going to document my experience with semi rigid resin to help other makers who want to create custom parts and heads for their own businesses, or customizations.

I saw these soft-vinyl DDS parts on Booth and they seemed really interesting! They are designed to allow for more flexibility/poseability. There's a preview video on Youtube demonstrating it. Would anyone know if these would they happen to be recasts (aka not ethical) or do they just happen to be original (aka ethical) 3rd party custom parts (in similar vein to silicone busts or jointed hands)?

I’m getting 2 obitsu bodies for my 2 ddh heads, one is male and one is female, i’m switching the girls upper and lower torso with angel philia parts because i really like detailed bodies, does anyone know any detailed male parts? x~x Does angel philia make male parts? So, after years of eyeing AP dolls I finally found one in the price range and parts I wanted! I found her new on Mandarake and SWOOPED IN. After a few shipping delays she's finally here! ✧◝(⁰▿⁰)◜✧ I just about jumped out of my skin when I saw the DHL truck pull up. They packed her really well. I mean REALLY well. I had trouble with the boxes ಠ◡ಠ A box within a box within a box. I'm not even going to make the joke, it's too easy. I finally got to her out! I was worried I wasn't going to like her as much as I thought I would but I was INSTANTLY in love. She's SO cute. Originally I had planned to redo the face up but it's honestly REALLY nice, so I may just add to it a tiny bit. They were not joking when they said soft skin; I've never personally handled a vinyl doll this size and had only touched a DD soft skin bust at a convention (who's owner very graciously allowed me to poke her titty (｡•̀ᴗ-)✧). I will absolutely be filling her out with some polyfill ASAP. I also am used to doll parts that are strung together and have to be unstrung to be taken apart. The scream I let out when her forearm popped off scared my cat. And then I realized it was supposed to function like that; duh. Her joints were a little tight during posing, but I think that should loosen up the more I pose her? After fiddling around with her I finally started putting on her clothes and wig. I'm so glad what I've currently got on her fits well. There are so few clothes tailored to APs;;; The skirt was hard to get over her thighs and hips, but it's so cute on, if not a little... Short. Girl's caked UP ಠ◡ಠ. The rest of the outfit is soaking in a vinegar/water solution; I have no idea if that will help with vinyl staining but I figured it was worth a try because that trick saved my resin dolls LIVES; And their smooth smooth skin... Er, resin. Whichever. All in all I'm SO happy with her, and she photographs like a dream so- obligatory risqúe pic. -
I love the sculpting of the ap boobs but I hate the permanently hard nips does anyone have tips for minimizing them or as a last resort sanding them off

Hi everyone, I wanted to share my hybrid ! I 'm obsessed by the AZO2 curves and wanted to give my angel philia a body update Things to know : The AZO2 is not in soft vinyl and my angel philia is. I try dif configuration as i wanted to keep at least the tummy/tight or tight in soft vinyl but that wasn't possible 😕 the pieces wasn't really compatible with the tummy/tight or just tight of my angel philia, proportion was way off or just wasn't even fitting 😕 Anyway, i decided to then change bust, torso and tight and the end here is the final result. I think it actually look super good on both 😄 Left is the azone with Angelphilia bust/tummy/tight and right is my AP with the AZO" bust/tummy/tight hope that help I don't own the left one anymore but if you have question for the right one let me know ^^ Here is:

Warning, this topic could be NSFW a little bit for some people. Finally my doll goal of the year is done. After A LOT of difficulties, months of waiting and of course, my wallets death, I finally got an Adykadoll flex body. After some hours of playing with it, I thought it may be useful to share my opinion in case you weren't sure on acquiring one. Something to notice before I begin is that this body fits both SmD and DD (for this you need some pegs you can buy in the official website for the neck), which means it has the same shape and posability for both brands. Unfortunately, afaik, adykadoll body is not available for the classic SmD skin tones anymore (at least for now) and it will only be available in blue in the future. So, if you're looking for one, right now you will only find DD bodies from the official site. Anyway, let's begin. For this topic I will need help of the most beautiful and angelic SmD that exists (IMO). Her name Is Entropy but she prefers to be called "Enty". She's the discontinued semi real style version 1 Entropy, released some time ago. As you can see, she's using her new body. Now, excluding the silicone, what's the difference between the SmD vynil body and this one? More posability for the legs and a curvier shape that (IMO) looks much better than the original body. For posability purposes, more photos below. Starting with the torso: No posability differences here compared with the original vynil body. Even the big gap that allows to see the inner frame between the bust and the torso is the same. Talking about the inner frame, the torso section is metal-made. I couldn't visually confirm this with the tighs or shins, but, judging by the feel when you squeze the silicone, I'm almost sure is made of metal as well. For the legs articulation, I still need to get used to the body so i can update this topic. For now that's all. Hope it helps you in some way and if you have questions, don't hesitate to ask!

I have another thread for actual character work on Sophia, but figured I'd make a repository specifically for photos - or at least some of them. I've not yet ironed this outfit, but couldn't resist getting some photos of her in it anyways. It took me a solid hour to wrangle out a knot that formed in the jewelry chain on her side, though... Her wig's a mess & not even styled yet, I've been terribly lazy about getting to that - but having her in proper clothes might incentivize me some.

I've been slowly accumulating various pieces to put together a character of mine - loyal housemaid & head of a certain gentleman's household. And, while she's far from complete (eyes, bunny ears... a custom face up, to name a few things), the lass herself arrived today and I'm absolutely thrilled to have her home. Miss Masya Clementine, affectionately nicknamed 'Ruby' by those close to her. Even though she ultimately won't be keeping this face up, I must admit it I adore it. Now, as I mentioned, I have been slowly accumulating pieces to get her as close as possible to what I'd like her to be - so before I can doll her up, she'll need to be disassembled & reassembled. On the left is the body I wanted for her (C3 Bust, C Lower Torso & Thighs) - and on the right is how she came to me (G Bust, H Lower Torso & Thighs). She was always supposed to be a touch more slender - and I have the H body type on my other lass, Sophia, whom the curves suit much better. Once she was properly assembled, I tossed on a few accessories & decided to see how she looked next to Sophia (who... is still waiting on her own garments. So sorry, angel.) I'm utterly in love with how they look next to each other - but enough of that, it's time to get Miss Clementine dressed. I do intend to do some alterations & sewing of my own to get a gown closer to her original design. But since her gentleman won't be home for a good few months, I have time to make it perfect - no need to rush. Thank you for looking! 🌹

Mayumi showing a few sample prints of the latest magazine editions. She takes a read to catch up on Zeta-C giant boobs culture and news. I ended up making a few of them considering Mayumi does intern for a media company. And because I'm connecting her with my fictional world, the magazines actually have readable cover to cover content that add to the lore of said world. __________________________________________________________________________ Making AP scaled stuff is interesting cause I see everyone call AP's 1:3 but they're actually a little more like 1:3.5, so I had to do some guess-timations for these books. Here's my logic to get proper AP scale for the mags (and things in general.) AP height: 48cm x 3 = 144cm (4'7") < waaaaay too short unless she's like 8 with that insane body...... 48cm x 3.5 = 168cm (5'5") < much better, and seems to hold close-ish scale with other real world objects Paper size: Letter 8.5" x 11" scaled by 3.5 = 2.42" x 3.14" Process: Because I was making actual content I made use of an open source page layout editor called Scribus. Size the doc to the dimensions above ( or your preferred scale paper size) and create pages in multiples of 4 if you're doing spreads or multiples of 2 if you'll be gluing single pages. Export as single page images when done. Spreads) rearrange to make spreads in proper order from outside to center (I do this irl so this part may be confusing, refer to an actual stapled magazine or my example below). You will need to do this twice so you can print one full page layout on the back of the other. Cut the pages out as 2 page spreads, fold and glue at the spine of each spread. Glue the center of the inner most spread to help keep it closed and flat. Trim edges and your done. NOTE: Don't use too much glue just a teeny tiny bit. It will hold very well and you don't want to end up gluing pages together. NOTE2: Don't put content too close to the edge as the inner pages will get cropped a tiny bit in the final step. Single pages) A lot easier. Leave the cover as a spread cause it will be wrapping over. Put the odd pages on one layout, and even on the other - but in mirrored order. Cut the cover as a spread, then cut your individual pages. Glue them all together at the spine and wrap the cover spread over. Trim edges and your done. NOTE: Don't put content too close to the edge as the inner pages will get cropped a tiny bit in the final step. If possible I recommend using the lightest(thinnest) possible double sided gloss paper. I was able to get inkjet 42lb double sided gloss from amazon which prints nice had had a good shine for the cover and pages. I think there may be even lighter gloss papers for color laser but I don't have safe access to test for my naughty werx lol.

A workspace for my lass Sophia; disgustingly over-financed heiress and, frankly, just a bit of a brat. A character that exists in a larger world of mine, alongside a varied cast of characters. She'll make an introductory appearance in a writing one-shot, along with her full character bio, over on my Patreon - but I tend to keep my usual content & doll hobby quite separate, so I figured this is as good a repository for the latter as any. The very first image of her that popped into my head was a vaguely 1940's-50's era silhouette, more specifically a fitted gown or top with a longer skirt, and a loose, blousy fur stole or some equivalent. The initial plan was to include opera gloves for the little historical touch, but I've discarded the idea for the time being - both because I feel like it'd be a pain and risk staining her doll, and also because I liked the idea of her hands being bare. While I've played around a fair bit with her color palette, I've settled on white & pale peach/purple colors. Despite some of my current photos, her wig is truly more of a dark chestnut plum color, and I for some reason was enamored by the blend of earthy tones and more fantastical purple, despite not typically being fond of the violet family, and built her palette from there. Also fur. And then pearls... lots of pearls.... My first challenge with her right off the bat is her wig. While she has a very lovely wig of decent quality, due to the nature of it's build & the stiffness of the fibers, it floats in an almost Ghibli-esque way, much further from her face than her art. My current idea is to purchase the same wig again, and create a version of flatter lying hair, that harbors more of the pinned down and slicked back look I'm going for with her. Hard to tell from the rough art, but the front portion of her hair is pinned, pulled back behind her ears, with the rest falling over it, but still clinging quite close to her neck. My current plan is to make a tight-fitting wig cap & harvest the fibers from the duplicate wig, most likely gluing wefts in set positions to create the illusion I'm going for. That will mean some limits in poses, in theory, but could be worth it for photo. I'd rather have her current wig, floaty as it is, as a back up - since I am quite fond of it, minor details aside. The other challenge is her face up. The default makeup on Angel Philia girls is plenty charming, but her eyebrows are notably out of character - lending much more to an innocent or shy personality as opposed to her bratty confident, entitled one. I'll readily admit I have zero practice with face ups, and absolutely no experience with vinyl. My assumption is I wouldn't be able to wipe just the brows off and redo them - and even if I could confidently do so, I am in no way confident I have a steady enough hand to paint on matching brows. Will this warrant a face up artist? I am not yet decided... because I'm really quite fond of her face as it is, and don't want to lose the charm, particularly her lips. (That said, my other AP lass that is on the way will be getting a wipe + new face up, so it's possible when the time comes, artist slots permitting, I just send both of them out for new paint.) I have also struggled to find shoes that are exactly what I want for her, as everything I find that's suitable for her only ever seems to come in SD sizes. This may mean modifying the pair of shoes I've ordered for her (a simple pair of white pumps) or making something from scratch. Then there's the challenge of her bust - I've already accepted much of her clothing will need to be sewn by hand to her specific proportions, but I welcome that challenge. The hardest part I believe will be finding the right fabric that drapes over her body.

My First MDD and Doll in Three Years, MDD Rena Ryugu (Minor NSFW Due to Dolly Nudity)

Hello everyone! I am so excited to share with you my first girl in three years, and my very first MDD (though she'll probably move up to a DDP soon). This is my new girl Reina! She is an MDD Rena Ryugu and if you know anything about Higurashi, Rena's legal name is Reina, but she changes it after her parent's divorce. I personally like the spelling of her legal name, and I like to give all my girls different names from their original character dolls, so hence the name change. Without further ado, here are the box opening pictures! and a cute little story of her meeting Lana. Her box came in extremely rough condition from DHL. To the point where my contact asked me if I wanted to pursue a replacement if the doll box itself was damaged. I opted not to because the doll box was fine at this point in time, and I was just so eager to get her in my hands that I did not care. When I finally got her in my hands, the doll box was pretty dented, but I was literally shaking with excitement so I couldn't care less. The box itself was extremely light compared to other Dollfie Dreams I have opened in the past, but I think this thought comes from the last Dollfie I opened being Jeanne, and how heavy and tiring she was to lug around the airport to get her home. AHHH! THERE SHE IS! LOOK AT THAT FACE! So, so sweet! Her head is really large and looks similar to my Moriko (DDdy Yoko). Reina: Oh! Hello there Mrs. Giant! Me: Hello Reina!
